“ Manufacturer: Boots / Lens Type: Drops „
Just recently I have noticed that my eyes are a bit dull and often have red veins appearing quite a bit. They are really tired as I have two young children. I have seen the optician so its nothing bad but they use are being a bit over worked and do not look as sparkling as I would like them to look. The red veins appear when I have been wearing my contacts for quite a while so I try to limit my usage but that doesn't always work out and I think the red veins really make my eyes look sore and not very nice. I have been using Boots dry eye eye drops for a while now and they are really helping to keep my eyes moist, especially at night at the end of a long day but those drops don't really work on dull, red eyes. I decided to try the Boots brightening eye drops as I am pleased with the dry eye ones and hoped they would work the same. These drops are especially formulated for brightness and Boots say that they are ideal for enhancing the natural brightness of your eyes. This is exactly what I wanted them for so I was hoping they would work well. The drops are said to work on all eye colours and contain natural plant extracts. The drops are really easy to use and I don't really find it a problem to drop the liquid into my eyes. The drops come in a little 10ml bottle. This cost me just £3.69 from Boots which I though was a really good price as I've used it now for a few weeks and there still seems to be loads left. I suppose when you are only using a drop or two at a time it will last for a long while although once you have opened these drops it tells you on the packaging that you need to discard them after 90 days. The drops are really easy to use. The little bottle has a twist off cap and then there is a little nozzle at the top of the bottle. You are meant to add 2 or 3 drops of the solution into your eyes and then blink Two or three times so it gets distributed around your eye. The bottle is not squeeze so you cannot squeeze the drops out but if you hold it upside down you can see that the solution drops out quite easily so it's easy to get the drops in your eye. Sometimes maybe a couple more drops will come out than you want but I don't think this is a really big problem. The little bottle is quite chunky so easy to hold on to and position near your eye. One tip I would give is to not touch your eye with the nip of the bottle as this could cross contaminate your eyes if you have anything wrong with them. I tend to add these drops to my eyes when I can see a lot of red veins in them or first thing in the morning to really give my eyes a boost. When I have red eyes, after I have applied the drops I wait half an hour or so and you can see that the red veins have started to disappear and the whites of my eyes definitely come back so I really like the results I get from these drops. One word of warning I would give is that if you are a contact lens wearer like me you are not supposed to use these drops whilst wearing soft contact lenses. This is different to the dry eye drops which you can use with contact lenses so you do need to be careful and remember this when using these drops. All in all though I would definitely say that they have worked for my eyes.
** Boots Brightening Eye Drops ** I enjoy trying out new products especially since then i can write a review about them on Dooyoo! As I have sometimes problems with dry eyes I buy eye drops and like the look of these eye drops. Brightening eye drops sounded very promising especially since they promise you more attractive eyes. The most important thing is of course that they actually work and help me with my dry eyes but the making my eyes more attractive is of course a nice bonus! ************************************************* ******** Something I really hate is having dry eyes especially when watching a movie or driving, it can be very annoying. It avoiding me to concentrate proper and that's not safe while driving. With a movie it's just very annoying and it always makes me tired. I think it's my lenses that they dry out my eyes but it's hard to say sometimes. Even without wearing I seem to have trouble now. ************************************************* ******** I enjoy buying eye drops from Boots because they are cheaper then other branded eye drops. These eyes drops come for a price of 3,30 pounds and you get 10ml bottle. That doesn't sound a lot but I think it will last you about 100 times of use so it's not all bad. When you are using this you need to drop once or twice drops in your eyes and you should feel a instance relief. I have to say that It really worked for me. I felt the instance relief and my eyes felt more comfortable straight away. They didn't feel irritated anymore. I think the feeling last for about 30 minutes which is normally enough. It's more a little wakeup call before I almost felt a sleep. ************************************************* ******** Do they really make my eyes more attractive? No I don't think so. They clear up my eyes as they aren't dry anymore but that's all. Overall I think they are good eye drops that come for a good price but I think the regular ones are just fine too for using.
Boots Brightening Eye Drops Want more attractive eyes? Well apparently that will happen when you use the Boots Brightening Eye Drops! You don't only help you with the relief of the dryness and redness of your eyes but they also make your eyes more sparkly and attractive! I never heard of eye drops giving you that kind of effect so I was quite intrigued and wanted to try them out. Who doesn't want to have more attractive eyes? I wear lenses and they always seem to give me dry eyes at night or at the office where we have air-conditioning. My optician give me advised me these lenses that practically give me more air than if I wouldn't wear them but that doesn't seem to help either. So I switch a lot with wearing lenses and glasses. So of course I use eye drops to give me that little bit of relief now and then. These eye drops come from Boots for a price of around 3,30 pounds which isn't bad really. You get 10ml bottle which is apparently a standard size for eyes drops bottles. I always find it very handy because it's easier to take with you and also easier to use. I don't see myself holding a 100ml bottle in front of my eyes trying to get those eye drops in! The bottle is easy to use and you only have to press a little bit in order to get the drops out. You can just one drop sometimes two. The drops really work with making my eyes less sore and they make them less red. It's certainly a great relief when I use them so they are great in that department. Do they really make my eyes sparkle and more attractive? I don't think so and I didn't suddenly get compliments because of my eyes. I really don't see a difference and the only difference is that I look happier because my eyes aren't sore anymore! So no they drops don't suddenly make your eyes more attractive but they do work as they give me the needed relief and that's the most important thing for me. Would I buy them again? Sure I think the price is reasonable and they are good enough.
I suffer from dry and red eyes in the mornings when I wake up, this is due to me having a slight allergy towards the pillows I use. The first thing I like to do in the morning is apply some eye drops just to get that itchy feeling relieved and the redness reduce. i really like these eye drops as they are cheap at the great price of £2.99 and I find they work by giving a fresh sparkle. The drops can be usually be applied 1 - 3 times a day. The great thing about the product is the cost because many brands on the markets are more expensive and some don't work aswell. I suffer from Hayfever aswell and find that these drops help out when the pollen level is very high. They are suitable for children and adults over the age of nine years old. I use these drops only in the morning. The drops come in a plastic squeezy bottle which has a volume of 8ml, even though it displays on the box to be used within 28 days of opening, I will try and get a slightly longer use out of mine as long as they are stored correctly. The drops contain the following ingredients: Contains ingredients: Water, sodium chloride, alcohol, euphrasia tincture, zinc sulphate, benzoxonium chloride, naphazoline nitrate. I give these eye drops top marks.
I had an eye infection recently and was given antibiotics eye drops for it which worked really well but the doctor advised me to get some normal eye drops for afterwards to keep my eyes lubricated... The one I chose were 'Boots Brightening Eye Drops' as they were the best value plus seemed to have the same ingredients as the branded ones when I checked the back labels. Price wise these were the best also, £2.79 for a pack or get a second one half price which I did. I also got my Advantage card points which are 4p back for every pound you spend. The best before date on mine is Nov 2010 so they last ages unopened, and the contents are 8ml. The little blue box he plastic bottle cones in says this liquid is soothing and has got natural plant extracts in it, and that this product is made in England. The drops have to be discarded twenty eight days after opening and should stop being used if an irritation occurs. These are not meant to be used every day either, but on the days the stuff is used they should be applied one or two drops at a time and then blink two or three times to spread the solution... Boots say not to use with contact lenses, and that this product will restore the natural brightness of your eyes. The drops I did find soothing after my eye started recovering properly from Conjunctivitis, they really help the eye area feel more comfortable and I think aided my recovery. This liquid is squeezed out of the bottle by a pipette so it's not messy, plus you can carry the drops everywhere with you in case your eyes get sore while you are out and about. I think this is worth five stars, it's inexpensive and it works just as well as branded ones which I've tried before after a previous eye infection :)
I suffer regularly from dry and red eyes. Lately it has been due to hayfever but even in the winter they react because of the indoor heating systems or the wind. Therefore I have tried a number of eye drops and are usually quite horrified at the prices of them. Therefore whilst I will look at the premium brands to start with, I think go to the own brand ones. Hence I now consistently use the Boots own Brand Brightening Eye Drops. These drops contain witch hazel which is a soothing plant and used for swelling and infections as it cools and calms. The drops ease dry eyes and whiten them by creating a cushion which is moist and this helps to soothe and protect the eye from the usual hazards that make them dry, red and itchy. The Packaging Like most eye drops, these come in a cardboard box and inside is the bottle with an inbuilt dropper. There is a protective seal you need to break and I would then recommend removing the plastic ring otherwise it can hurt if it falls into your eye. Yes, this is the voice of experience talking! Usage You only need to administer 1 or two drops in each eye - I tend to use one and if need be can top up during the day. The instructions note that you can take these as and when required throughout the day however not to exceed the dosage. Unfortunately as they don't really stipulate the daily recommended dosage this is rather difficult to say. However I don't believe that using one drop at a time maybe twice daily would exceed the dosage. Feel / Sensation The drops are clear and they don't sting like similar brightening eye drops I have had. They don't make your eyes water either so you don't have to wait a while until putting your makeup on which is a time bonus for me in the morning! Effect The effect they give is of shrinking your red eyes blood vessels which ensures they look whiter and brighter. This does not take long and within 5 - 10 minutes your eyes have lost that redness and bloodshot look. Suitable They are suitable for children and adults over the age of nine years old. Size 8ml Price: £2.99 from er Boots of course. These drops last me for about a month as I like to keep my drops refreshed and bacteria free. However if you only use two drops a day they could last I think about 2-3 months given that mine are usually slightly more than half full when I throw them away to ensure sanitation for my eyes. Summary Again, Boots has come up trumps with their own brand range of products! These are a good value priced item, extremely effective and well worth it. Bright Eyes here we come!
These soothing and protecting eye drops work by creating a cushion of moisture to keep your eyes cool and comfortable.
