Soft subtle colour for sparkling eyes

When I wear these, I get a lot of compliments. But the reason I like them is not purely one of vanity (honest!) I find prescription tinted lenses really helpful, not only for the fact that they enhance natural eye colour without looking scary or fake, but also because they are easy to see when you are putting them in and taking them out. I am so short sighted that sometimes handling clear lenses was tricky - one would drop off my finger into the sink when I was taking them out at night and...panic! I wouldn't be able to see the lens to retrieve it. Having the tint in the middle helps with that. Appearance wise, the colour tint is quite subtle and they have a good choice of shades - in spite of the name, Royal Blue is not a dark blue, it just makes paleish blue eyes bluer and appear to really sparkle. Focus have various shades to suit grey, blue, green and brown eyes. My only criticism is that because these are monthly disposable, they are thinner than permanent lenses if that is what you are used to, and this means they can easily fold when you are handling them. You have to be careful when you are taking them out or they can tear. Having said that, they are good quality for monthly disposable lenses and do the job just fine. I usually buy mine online at myoptics, and I pay about £70 for a 6-month supply, which is almost half what I used to pay in Boots Opticians. Just have your contact lens prescription to hand when you order, to make sure you get the right strength. You can also set up a reminder email so that your supplier will email you a month before you are due to re-order, which is very convenient if you are forgetful like me.
