“ Brand: Ciba Vision / Lens Type: Weekly Disposable „
I am wearing lenses for almost 14 years, and started wearing these lenses 4 years ago. Initially, they were great (however, I don't recall exactly which type of Ciba Vision I was wearing during the first 2 years). However, after my doctor advised me to use this new type of lenses, which were supposed to be more breathable etc., my eyes developed resistance to them after 1 year of wearing. The eyes become extremely itching and irritated by the end of the day, I even had to use antibiotics drops to get rid of this extreme itching (however, the doctor did not find any infection spots on the eye surface). Different pairs of lenses from the same annual set seem to be of a different comfort level: one lens would work, and the other would not. I have to find new brand of lenses now, and simply dispose of O2Optix. Don't recommend to anyone.
I was offered o2 Optix by my optican after 18 months of not wearing lenses. I had a trial with lenses, but found my eyes getting very dry and the lenses bunching up in my eyes when I blinked after about 4-6 hours. I stopped wearing lenses as 6 hours isn't even a full day at work!
I was so suprised when I had a trial of these lenses, the optican said they had come on so much in the last 2 years, I didn't really believe it could be much different (how do you change much about a bit of plastic in your eye?!?).
Now I have absolutely no problems with dry eyes! I can wear them all day and don't have to remove them as soon as I get home from work. I have also never had any faulty lenses to return, so I am very very satisfied.
I have been wearing contact lenses for about 15 years now. Three years ago my eye doctor suggested that I switch to O2-optix because my eyes were getting dry. I must say that they are very comfortable to wear and very easy to take care of. Wearing contacts has never been easier for me.
I wear my O2-Optix contacts for about two weeks. Every night I take them out and let them soak in fresh solution overnight. The next morning they are ready for me to just pop them in.
On several occassions I have fallen asleep in these contacts. My eye doctor told me that while she does not recommend me sleeping in my contacts, if I would happen to fall asleep once in a while with them in it would not hurt anything. With my old brand of contacts if I did that, I would have to pry the lenses off my eyes. But not with these contacts. They stay moist and do not dry out even in sleep.
They are a bit more than what I was use to paying for. On average I pay about $30 for 6 lenses (one box). But they are well worth it in my eyes!
02-Optix. When contact lenses first came out I was shocked to see how eye technology had increased and how finally I could get rid of my glasses. I waited a few years researched on them and was amazed of how a lense so small can correct vision. At first I was scared to put the lense in my eye but i overcame this. Now I have been wearing lenses for almost 4 years and not once having irritations in my eye. Now how this relates to 02 Optix is that I wore these in my 1st 2 years of experiencing contact lenses. My optician described them as being extended wear contacts which meant i could keep them on for as long as I wanted as long as I took them off before sleeping and going in water. And yes by following those simple rules contact lenses changed my life. O yeh the optician also said these are qood quality and you can tell it is compared to other brands such as specsavers. I never had problems with this pair of contacts so would tell any one to buy them.
