Advantages: no cleaning soloutions
Disadvantages: none
I have been wearing glasses since I was 15 years old, I don't mind, but in the summer time I like to wear sunglasses and prescription sunglasses can be quite expensive plus you have to remember to take your ordinary glasses with you for when you are indoors.
I first heard about Johnson & Johnson one day acuvue when I got a letter through the post from my optician, there was a special offer of free 30 day trial when you had an eyesight test. The first time I tried these lenses I was amazed they where so light that I didn't feel a thing, I had always imagined I would feel the lenses in my eyes.
The beauty of these lenses are that you don't have to worry about cleansing soloutions etc. ideal for the busy person who is always rushing out of the house in the early hours. I can wear these lenses for 12-13 hours a day without feeling any discomfort. These lenses are a bit more expensive than other lenses but well worth it as they are of good quality.
It is always a good idea to carry a spare pair in your bag in case you lose one or if like me when applying mascara you poke yourself in the eye with the mascara brush and then have to change the lens.
I wear these lenses almost every day so it worked out cheaper for me to buy them through the post, I get 30 pairs of lenses for £37 which is paid by direct debit, and I always receive my new lenses just before my old supply runs out. The leaflet inside the box says it is safe to sleep with these lenses in, and I have found that if I fall asleep in front of the telly, that the lens is still intact when I wake up, as I know from friends that other lenses can end up stuck inside your eyelid as your eye drys up very quickly.
I have not had any eye infections in the six months that I have been wearing these lenses, and would recommend these lenses to anyone contemplating contact lenses. I have even worn these lenses in nightclubs that have been very smokey and have not had
any trouble with my eyes yet.
£37 per month may seem a bit expensive to some people but this is because I wear my lenses every day, there are other options such as monthly lenses which can be a bit cheaper although I don't know about the comfort of these lenses, and I stick with Johnson & Johnson because I like the quality of the lenses and I don't have the extra expense of cleaning soloutions.
