I have been wearing contact lenses since I was 17 so over 10 years now and have always used the Specsavers Easy Vision Contact Lens Solution which I have never had any problems with.

As I am on a direct debit contract for my contact lenses then I have never had to buy a bottle of solution separately so am not sure of the cost of a single bottle. I currently pay £12 per month for my monthly disposable contact lenses and this comes with a bottle of the easy vision solution and a contact lens storage pot. I find this to be excellent value hence why I have never seen the need to change to another company. Also I have heard many people complain about having bad reactions and irritation to contact lens solutions so I always choose to stick to the easy vision solution as it suits me well.

The solution is designed for soft contact lenses and is a multi-purpose solution which can be used for cleaning, rinsing and disinfecting. I use the solution to clean my lenses each evening when I take them out, I place the lens in the palm of my hand, squeeze a small amount of the solution onto the lens and rub gently with my finger to thoroughly clean away any dirt from the lens. I then use the solution to store my lenses overnight to keep them moist and to disinfect the lenses. My lenses are always very soft and lubricated in the moring and I never have any problems putting them in my eye, which to me proves that the solution is doing what it is meant to.

Over then 10 years that I have been using the easy vision solution I have never experienced any irritation at all. I did develop an eye ulcer a couple of years ago but I do not believe this had anything to do with the solution as both the doctor at the hospital who treated my ulcer didn't recommend that I changed my lenses or solution and neither did my optician.

I know that this solution would not suit everyone but I find it perfect for me and would say that if you have not tried it and are looking for a new contact lens solution then to give it a try. It is available from all Specsavers stores and possibly on their website too.
