A couple of years ago it was established that I had some problems with my vision and I have been wearing glasses and contact lenses since then. Sometimes I am working somewhere different away from my usual workplace or sometimes I am going to a big event and do not want to have my glasses on for photographs and such like. This is usually when I wear contact lenses and sometimes I wear them daily for several weeks because of work and numerous social gatherings. I tend to buy my contact lenses on monthly direct debit however sometimes I stray from this if I see good special offers elsewhere. I actually spotted this solution on eBay and paid around £11 for 3 bottles. This was a saving of almost £2.00 compared to what I was currently paying and so this seemed like a good deal as they were all sealed with an expiry date of 2014. I knew that I would definitely use them before this time and so I snapped them up.

This solution has a green label on it and a nice picture of a turtle swimming on the front. The design is quite simple and the bottles are 250ml in size. The bottles has to be unsealed before you can open the lid but this is quite simple and takes just a few seconds. A light squeeze on the bottle allows the solution to be dripped out easily and makes for a good control to ensure that I do not waste solution that I would not have needed. Depending on how often you replace the solution in your lens holder this will last a minimum of one month. For me I get around one months usage from it and that is with changing the solution every single time that I need to 'wash' my contact lenses. This solution helps to keep my lenses in fantastic condition and keeps them scratch and dirt free at all times.

Obviously using this solution is very simple. Just squirt it in to your contact lens holder and you're set for use! I use a nice amount in each lens holder and I sometimes will use it just seconds before placing the lens in to my eye to ensure that they're as moist as possible for easy application to my eye.

I would say that this solution is good. I've had no problems using it and whilst the contact lenses do not stay moist for very long I would expect this with any solution because our home is usually above 20c even first thing in the morning (sigh!). I've used other solutions in the past and they work just as well as this, in all I am pleased that I found this on eBay at a slightly reduced rate compared to that which Specsavers are offering. Mine lasts around 4-5 weeks usually and I change the solution every day to keep my lenses in good condition as I spend around £20 a month, sometimes more, on lenses and like to get my monies worth before I have to discard them! The price for this is reasonable and the usage of this solution is straight forward and does not cause me any problems with my eyes at all which is good as I can be very sensitive to products.
