Advantages: Daily Lenses, Comfortable, Widely Available
Disadvantages: Expensive compared to other brands
Ive been wearing contact lenses for over 10 years now and have tried many types including Monthlies, and dailies.
The problem I have always had with wearing contact lenses is my eyes drying out, after going back to the opticians again and again and feeling frustrated that every brand i was trying was uncomfortable my optician recommended 1 Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses.
What I love about these contact lenses is they are dailies so you put in a brand new pair every day! Excellent for lazy people like me who hate having to clean monthlies, and also you know if you lose a dailiy contact lense it doesnt really matter as you can just pop another in!
You get 30 lenses in a pack and you can get them for around £20-24 a packet so they do work out pretty expensive especially if you are wanting to wear them every day but if your like me and wear glasses half of the week the cost isn't too bad.
Your really paying for the convience of a daily lense and of course the high quality.
They come individually packed so ideal to carry in your handbag incase of emergencies, like wanting to stay at a friends house from a night out.
I always hated this when i weared monthlies having to carry a big tub of solution around to clean my lenses in the morning, or just not having the option of staying over a friends because you cant clean contact lense using water, I've tried it and it was OUCH plus you can pick up nasty infections.
These are soft lenses and very comfortable, I forget I have them in except for the end of the day when my eyes start to dry out a little but thats because I have very dry eyes, everyone is different.
Certainly the best contact lenses on the market, especially if you have sensitive and dry eyes like me and don't want to have to wear glasses all the time.
Summary: Excellent quality for a daily lense.

- 19/01/09 I much prefer the dailies - they are loads better for my eyes, even if they do cost much more. I've never tried these ones, I find the specsavers ones fine for me. |
