Not worth the extra money... (Johnson & Johnson 1-Day Acuvue Moist)

Advantages: Fresh, cool.

Disadvantages: Same as normal Acuvue.

Hi everyone, I normally use the acuvue standard contacts but was offered these as a moister contact lens as i suffer from dry eyes. I sometimes get hayfever as well and these were sold as makng your eyes cooler and fresher. i found them to be not that different from the normal ones - they cost about 2/3 pound more which wasnt much but to be honest i could hardly see any difference between them and my standard ones - my eyes felt the same, nice when it went in the eye, however nothing more than this - the eyes felt fresh for ten secs or so and then afterwards they felt exactly the same as usual.... dissapointing. I normally wear them for a whole day (which is naughty i know) but even with this usage levels the moistness made a poor improvement and i would not have said the extra money was worth it.

Summary: Dont bother.
