Great Lenses, Very Comfortable & Convenient (Johnson & Johnson Acuvue Oasys)

Advantages: Comfortable, Convenient, Can wear any sunglasses I like

Disadvantages: None that I can think of.

My husband has worn weekly disposable contact lenses for years, however for me it took years of convincing to even try wearing lenses. I have needed to wear glasses for about 5 years now, my husband kept advising me that contact lenses would be much easier as they didn't get finger marks, didn't steam up or get wet in the rain and I could wear any sunglasses I liked without having to worry about getting special lenses put in.

After a brief, but failed experiment, with daily contacts about two years ago I decided to take the plunge in February this year. The optician advised that I go for weekly disposables rather than daily. Initially I was given a different brand, however my eyes constantly felt like they had grit in them and were really dry, I got through 2 bottles of saline solution in one day. However I persevered as I could see the benefit. The third set I was given were the Acuvue Oasys and I can honestly say that they are brilliant. I can't feel them at all and forget I have them in.

I no longer have problems with steaming up, fingerprints, rain marks on my glasses. I can also wear whatever sunglasses I want - I didn't bother before as I found that the prescription was never as good as in real glasses.

For those who are thinking about trying contacts I urge you to do so, they are brilliant.

For those who have had previous problems with contact lenses - they have felt uncomfortable and dry, I urge you to try Acuvue Oasys. They are extremely comfortable.
