Advantages: great lubricant
Disadvantages: price varies
I have worn contacts since I was 16 and originally used the solution Boots gave out as standard - the all in one. I didn't always look after my lenses properly since I chose to wear the continuous wear and didn't take them out often. As a result I began to suffer from dry eyes. This solution didn't lubricate them as much as my eyes needed so i was told to try the opti free.
This is by far a much better solution and my favourite (iv tried some of the other lens solutions my sisters/friends use) it lubricates and it makes the lens very wearable and comfortable throughout the day. I work in a very dry atmosphere due to the air con but this doesnt seem to affect the dryness of the lenses too much unless i havent taken them out in a few days or the lenses are getting a bit old. The lenses iv been wearing are the Acuvue continuous wear. I find the prices at boots for opti free are okay but unlikely to be the cheapest. It is the preferred solution amongst my family but a lot more expensive than other brands. If you have problems with your eyes, this is a solution you shoud try.
