I wear both contact lenses and strong prescription spectacles and after a recent trip to the optician he told me that I had a minor problem with my eyes. This concerned my eyes being dry and the tear ducts being blocked. He asked me if my eyes were often tired and itchy and when I replied in the affirmative he advised me to do certain ... I suffer from extremely dry eyes and over the years have tried many different remedies to try and give me some relief. Having exhausted most of the normal eye drops on the shelf, I decided to give this spray a go. I had seen the advert where one spray on the closed eyelid will refresh the eyes without having to actually put anything ... Read the complete review

I frequently suffer from dry eyes and because I spend all day working on computers and therefore staring at screens I find some days are worse than others, especially if I have also been wearing my contact lenses for any length of time. I have used eye drops to alleviate dry eyes in the past and because I also suffer from ... Read the complete review

I have been a contact lens wearer for some time now and have reviewed a variety of products on dooyoo such as this one as I suffer from dry eye. I have my lenses in longer than I should really and my eyes tend to get dry so I have used a variety of these products in recent times in an attempt to rectify these issues. One such ... Optrex Actimist Eye Spray is a fantastic little 10ml bottle of eye spray for those people, I think, who find it difficult to use conventional eye drops. My other half suffers from this problem, we are both contact lense wearers, but whereas I do not have any difficulty in using drops, she does. We saw this last time we went to Boots and ... As a contact lens wearer, I'm no stranger to poking around in my eyes, it used to make me feel sick just thinking about putting something in my eyes, but now I'm fine with it and do, admittedly, find a rather sinister enjoyment in grossing out other people when putting in or taking out contacts. I usually use eye drops to ... Read the complete review

I have worn contact lenses for the past fifteen years and while they are amazing in as much as allowing me to see, the real drawback of wearing them is the fact that my eyes get incredibly dry. After wearing my contact lenses for about 10 hours, my eyes become incredibly uncomfortable, and then after about 12 hours my eyes become pretty ... Read the complete review

I can imagine I am not a rare case when I say I don't particularly like using eye drops. Applying eye drops on your self can be a pain for many people - having to lay down/tip your head at the correct angle, then having to put something in your eye and hope you don't flinch at that moment. The problem is that we use eye drops for a ... Read the complete review

I had laser eye surgery about a year ago, and one of the main potential after effects is dry eyes. I've not really suffered with dry eyes since the surgery...at least not until mid-March, when the weather started to improve and my eyes started to feel sore quite regularly. I should also add that I spend, on average, at least 12 hours per ... Read the complete review

5 stars 'amazing product' (gosh how believable) I'm sure you dont work for optrex.Check further down. I found that the spray made me very irritable. See if it makes you irritable too I would be interested to know (See how I didnt write a 1000 word book like the employees of optrex?)

I had my eyes lasered a few years ago now which was one of the best things I ever did even if it wasn't quite the easy in easy out op they show on the TV. What I didn't know at the time even though they did warn me it could happen was that I would have dry eye syndrome for the rest of my life as a consequence of having the op. I ... ** Bye Bye Dry eyes! ** I think a lot of people who wear lenses know the problem about having dry eyes. I normally didn't really had them but now it seems to get them more often. As I have previously stated I wear daily contact lenses that I love due to the sheer convenience of being able to just throw them away at the end of the day. Optrex Actimist Eye Spray is an eye spray designed to relieve dry, itchy and sore eyes. The concept of this product is that it is designed to be applied to closed eyes, 1-2 sprays on each eyelid. The product is very good for children as it is sprayed on closed eyelids instead of into the eyes. My young sister has always hated ... Read the complete review

My wife, Sue, and I have both tried this and both found it does.......absolutely nothing, zilch, not even a little. A complete waste of money that has made us think an awful lot less of Optrex - a company whose products we have previously found to be very beneficial. At more than £1 per mililitre this rates, to us, as one of the worst buys of any sort we have ever made. I've only given it one star because the system won't let me give it none.

It seems strange that at least one of these reviews appears on other sites word for word. Written by Mr Optrex no doubt. Save yourselves the money, this product does absolutely nothing. You would get just as much relief by spraying water into your eyes. To charge £12 for just 10ml is nothing more than robbery. I thought the days of snake oil had ended but it seems not. Dave Bagley
