“ Brand: Optrex / Lens Type: Drops / Dosage Form: Drops „
Working as I do in an office then I regularly find that after sitting in front of my computer screen for a few hours I can feel very tired and my eyes start to feel like they are drying out and actually start to feel quite sore but thankfully there is Optrex fresh eyes drops to help you get through the day. Pros: Optrex fresh eyes drops are designed to help refresh, cleanse and soothe those tired feeling eyes and thankfully are excellent at doing this. I have used this regularly and it really does make my eyes feel much fresher and so allows me to feel much more awake. The drops are made with a moisture rich formula with plant extracts to ensure that they don't cause any problem reactions with your eyes and thankfully I have been using these drops for a number of years and never had any problems. If you are wearing or are going to be wearing contact lenses then you can't use this product but if like me you are ok with wearing glasses then you can still use this and it will be a massive help to get you through the day. The drops are very easy to use thanks to a simple yet well designed bottle and thankfully the drops are not going to cause any burning or itching whilst they get to work and start to soothe your eyes immediately and will help for hours. Optrex fresh eyes drops are very well priced at around £3.50-£4.50 for a 10ml bottle but as you only use a tiny amount each time you need use the drops then this will last you for a while and so offer excellent value for a top quality product. As the bottle is only 10ml then it is easy to keep this on you if you are out and about somewhere and this means you can fefresh your eyes throughout the day without needing to worry about carrying a bulky bag or anything to do it. Negatives: None Overall I have been using Optrex fresh eyes drops for a while now and found them to be a tremendous help to me when I need that little pick me up for tired eyes. If you find your eyes feel dry, sore, itchy or even just tired then these drops are a massive help as they work gently to rehydrate and soothe your eyes with the help of natural plant extracts. A great product and an exceptional value so something I always try to have around to give me a quick help to get through a long day at work.
I've had sore, itchy, bloodshot eyes recently. I'm not really sure what the main cause is - tiredness, my dog needing a haircut, or hayfever caused by the last remnants of summer, but I am sick of spending all evening rubbing my eyes, feeling like they have an eyelash/grit in them, and then waking up with red, sore, puffy eyes and having to attempt to put eye make-up on so I don't look like a freak/tramp when I go into work. My eyes were really painful and red yesterday, and people were commenting on how bloodshot one of them was, so I decided that enough was enough. I have never used eyedrops before but I couldn't stand the feeling that there was something in my eye for a second longer. Optrex seem to be the brand leader when it comes to eye drops, and they also do eyewashes. I picked the Fresh Eyes refreshing eye drops. They cost around £3.60 for a 10ml bottle. The small cardboard box is blue and features the Optrex logo and a picture of an eye and a water drop - giving the impression of moisture and cool-ness. The blurb on the front promises to 'treat, soothe and refresh irritate, tired and uncomfortable eyes'. On the back it says they 'replenish the moisture level and refresh tired or sore eyes caused by dusty or dry atmospheres, driving, computer use, late nights, air conditioning, central heating or polluted environment'. So every possible scenario where your eyes might be sore seems to be covered! Inside the box, the little plastic bottle is white with a blue lid that you screw off. The top of the bottle is tapered like a droplet for easy application. To use, all you do is tilt your head back and squeeze one or two drops into your eyes. At first I managed only to apply them to my cheek as my aim was a bit rubbish, but I soon got the hang of it. The liquid is clear with no smell, and doesn't sting whatsoever. They feel cold as they hit your eyeball which made me gasp a little but that will be easy to get used to. These drops are made up of purified water and plant extracts such as witch hazel, and they are also balanced at the natural pH level of tears. Therefore they are very natural. My eyes immediately felt full of natural moisture and hurrah!... the gritty feeling was gone at last. They felt less sore and dry, and even looked brighter and clearer. They became less bloodshot, too. Because my eyes weren't red, sore and gritty, the drops even made me feel more alert and awake - bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, you might say. I shall definitely be using these in the morning now! I can't believe I had never used these before and will be making them a regular purchase now. Since using them I haven't felt like there was something in my eye, and so I haven't needed to rub them, which always makes the soreness worse. Oh, the relief.
I bought this to go with the eye bath as I have been suffering from tired itchy eyes, unfortunately I struggle to get a lot of sleep as my 6 month old is teething so I am awake a lot. I picked this up from Tesco from the medicines aisle it cost £3. The drops come in a small box which is blue in colour and states on the front that the drops contain natural plant extracts and will replenish moisture to your eyes. The drops are designed to help soothe your tired eyes which can be irritated by daily living things like looking at a computer screen, lack of sleep, pollution and air conditioning. The main ingredients of the drops are water and witch hazel which is known for it's soothing properties. To use the drops you have to make sure your hands are clean, with the first use you should check that the seal on the drops in intact. You can then use them in two ways either by gently pulling down the corner of your lower lid down and tilting your head back and applying 1 or 2 drops or if you are a little aprehensive about using drops you can close your eye and apply 1 or 2 drops to the inner corner, then open your eye and blink to spread the drops. I prefer just to put them in using step one. As soon as I used these drops I felt relief, my eyes were so itchy and looking a little red when I had been rubbing them. It also provided a cooling sensation and my eyes looked a little brighter it also helped to calm down redness. There is actually no limit to how often you can apply these eye drops, I tend to use the 3-4 times a day. You have to discard any unused solution after 28 days I find that I manage to use the whole bottle by then. I would definately recommend these drops, they are easy to take with you on the go and they provide instant relief.
I have to get up for work at 05:30 when I am working an early shift. Sometimes I get out of bed and I can't even see my eyes feel that dry and uncomfortable. The thought of applying make up to them simply terrifies me. I looked at a few brands of eye drops before purchasing this one. I chose it because of its soothing qualities and because the PH level was balanced to same level as tears. I wanted something relatively natural. I bought this bottle from Tesco; paying £3.80 and getting another bottle free! I was quite impressed by this offer as the eye drops cost £4.07 in Boots, however I am led to believe that they are doing a similar buy one get one free offer. The product Under the screw on lid is the applicator end of the eye drops. The main body of the bottle is simple to hold and it is made from soft plastic so it is easy to squeeze. Once your eyes have appreciated just how good they feel; the task becomes easier and easier. Simply tilt back your head and gently squeeze one or two drops in daily. Try and make sure you are relaxed and try not to look directly at the applicstor as it hovers above your head as you will probably blink before the liquid hits the eye. After washing my face I always use one drop in each and then blink and then add the second. I gently pat down on my under eye area if any has dripped and now I feel ready to face the day. My eyes feel soothed and more awake. If I wake with bloodshot eyes, the drops usually help combat this and make them feel refreshed. A little tip for application: If you use them on a morning and want to fit them into your skin care routine, I would advise using them after washing the face but before moisturising. I once applied them after moisturising and as the liquid mixed with the cream they ran into my eyes and it stung for hours! The natural plant extracts sooth and calms my sore eyes. The rehydrating formula replenishes some of the moisture that is lost either over night or though the day. It is the dryness that makes them feel uncomfortable and itchy. I do not use my drops through the day as I usually have some eye make up on and I do not want it to run. There are times though after watching the computer screen or being in an air conditioned / central heated room for too long that I could do with some of the relief the eye drops give. Even driving sometimes makes my eyes feel itchy and dry. Care of product You can use them every day but after 28 days of being open they must be destroyed. I do not religiously stick to this but your eyes are delicate and susceptible to bacteria so it's always good to take a bit of care. They can be used by either children or adults, but avoid use if you wear soft contact lenses. I would advise always reading the label for other guidance regarding the use of the product. Overall I would fully recommend this product. It gives such relief and makes my eyes feel more awake and refreshed. The buy one get one free offer is one not to be missed!
** Optrex Fresh Eyes Eye Drops ** I wear lenses and I think a lot of people that wear lenses know the problem with having dry eyes. Since I have been wearing lenses it seems I'm getting them a lot more now. It's always while I'm watching a movie, sitting behind the computer for too long or while driving in the car. As you can probably imagine it's quite annoying. Of course I don't want to stop wearing lenses but also my optician said it's normal to have this problem even without wearing lenses. ************************************************* ******** Having dry eyes is not something I enjoy. I hate dry eyes when I'm watching a movie and it really ruins the night sometimes. I can't seem to concentrate and enjoy the movie anymore and I always seem to get sleepy because of them. Even my family got annoyed because I'm always the one falling a sleep. So yeah it was time for some eye liquid. ************************************************* ******** The eye drops comes in a small bottle of about 10 ml. That doesn't sound a lot but I think it will last you about 100 times of use so it's not all bad. When you are using this you need to drop once or twice drops in your eyes and you should feel a instance relief. I have to say that It really worked for me. I felt the instance relief and my eyes felt more comfortable straight away. They didn't feel irritated anymore. I think the feeling last for about 30 minutes which is normally enough. It's more a little wakeup call before I almost felt a sleep. ************************************************* ******** The main problem I have with the drops is getting them in to my eyes! It's always such a hassle and it takes me like 10 drops before it works. That's the only negative I really have because I do think it works better than the spray. The sprays works fine but the drops seem to work faster and the feeling last longer. O and it's a lot cheaper since it cost around 4 pounds!
I wear lenses and glasses and the mean reason I still switch now and then is because I can't stand dry eyes. Thank god for eye drops and sprays to handle these sore eyes. I always seem to get them when I'm at work and that's due the computer but also the air conditioner. I often have the same problem in the car with the ventilator blowing. I asked my optician and he said its quiet normal to get dry eyes in these conditions but you have to be careful that your eyes don't get too dry or that your eyes get irritated. Since I work five days in the week and I love to wear my lenses, I really can't stand every day having sore eyes so I do wear glasses now and then. Most of the time I wear lenses and when I do get sore eyes I use eye drops! I normally use the dry eyes drops but I bought this one because it was better suited for my eyes because they feel sometimes dry. This version should especially help you will getting rid of these dry eyes and make them feel fresher again. Normally people get dry eyes when they are staring too long at the computer screen or with air-conditioning. They feel sore and itchy and I just hate the feeling. The liquid comes in a small 10ml bottle and using it can be quite a challenge sometimes. You need to drop the liquid 1 or 2 times in each eye. You need to move your head slight backwards and keep your eyelid open. Like I said normally it goes wrong while I'm doing it but after 3 to 4 times I get the drops into my eyes. When the drops actually hit my eyes you can feel instant relief and you can feel the dryness going away and the eyes don't feel itchy anymore. You really feel a big difference and the feeling last for about 15 minutes. Is there a big difference compared to the dry eyes version? A small difference because I do feel that my eyes feel fresher after using this one while with the other liquid the dryness disappeared but that was all really. You can get the eye drops for around 4 pounds which is the same price as for the other version. I rather have this one just for that fresher feeling. Good product!
I suffer from tired eyes and sometimes it seems like everything irritates them so I went looking for something in my local Tesco to sort out this problem. I found these fresh eye drops for about £3.20 for a 10ml bottle which has a screw top lid and is sealed just to show that nobody has tampered with the product, this is definitely reassuring for when buying something like this. It is pretty easy to use, you simply apply it to your eye, I find that tipping your head back and the pulling your lower lid out slightly helps to make sure that you hit the target right first time. These do not sting your eyes at all and are just like getting a little droplet of water in your eye, it might take a couple of blinks for this to properly be in your eye. This product cannot be used whilst wearing lenses and you should read the information leaflet provided if you are unsure if this is the right product for you. These eye drops were very refreshing indeed and gave my eyes an extra whiteness about them. I found that the itching and dryness I had been suffering was solved after just a few days of twice daily use. It is advisable to discard the opened pot within a month to avoid a build up of bacteria. I am rating this product 4/5 mainly due to the price I paid. This should be available cheaper in my opinion as there's hardly anything to it and it doesn't have a very long life once opened. I'd really like a product that lasts slightly longer.
I used Optrex when I had a problem with my eyes, they were dry and itchy and I didn't entirely know why, so I went into my local pharmacy and was recommended I take this, two drops a day in each eye and everything should be sorted. Well, just as the pharmacist had said! Everything was sorted, in just a week as well! It's a fairly small bottle and a reasonable price at around £2 - £3. Any larger and you'd probably end up wasting the bottle because it's not something you need a large quantity of. I must confess that having only needed it for the week I did end up throwing the bottle away which still had some of the eye drop contents left... however, I was perfectly happy to pay the money and see my problem disappear! The droplet liquid doesn't feel anything different to water, and we all get water in our eyes at some point and it isn't painful. For some reason I had expected to feel a slight stinging sensation as I applied the drops but nothing of the sort. As far as applying the drops I think it depends greatly on each individual... I'm hopeless, and actually missed a few times and the drops would stream down the side of my face, but I got used to it in the end. Just keep your eyes open and make sure you don't blink straight after you apply the drops; this will force the liquid back out your eye. Instead roll your eye around and the liquid should move to the back of your eye and target the right area. This is a perfect product for dry and itchy eyes and I recommend it to all. It rehydrating and soothing nature really works so it's well worth the money.
Optrex Refreshing Eye Drops What are they? Optrex Refreshing Eye drops come in a small white bottle with a blue screw cap. I have a 10 ml bottle and they come with a little instruction leaflet with all advice and instructions needed. They contain natural plant extracts and are simply eye drops to refresh dry or tired eyes. They are good for sensitive eyes and suitable for frequent use Applying them Make sure you have washed your hands before applying and you can apply to lower lid or inner corner of eyes. You only need to apply a few drops to each eye and I prefer going for the lower part of the eyelid. I hold back the eyelid and head and drop it into the lower part. It does instantly cool and soothe and feels refreshing straight away. You shouldn't use these drops if you are wearing contacts but can use them sometime before or after you take them out. You can buy drops specifically for contacts though. The Price They cost between £2-£3 from most chemists/opticians/supermarkets and Optrex even have their own website with advice. Make sure you check the expiry date and use within the time frame in the advice leaflet. How can they help? And my opinion I suffer from dry eyes and was told my eyes didn't produce enough tears. I always found that my eyes got easily affected by hay fever, smoke from cooking, pollution or cigarette smoke whether sat next to a smoker or in a Restuarant. (So it was a hooray from me on the smoking ban i'm afraid!!) I used to wear daily and monthly contacts but found my eyes used to get too dry and I was prone to lots of eye infections. It got to a point where I had a special ointment I was meant to put in everyday before wearing my contacts to help moisturise them for the day. I gave up wearing contacts and stuck to glasses but still find I have dry eyes and occasionally use the ointment in a morning especially in the summer months. I find Optrex refreshing eye drops very soothing and they help me in to relieve the dryness and tiredness. I find a few drops of these drops can give an instant relief and help me when my eyes are tired or sore with irritants in the air. As a brand I would say they are better than supermarket own brands. I do wear eye makeup - liner and mascara (which are Clinque and good for sensitive eyes) and I find using drops doesn't sting or cause the eye makeup to irate my eyes. I would recommend Optrex refreshing eye drops for minor complaints but strongly suggest seeking help if it becomes something more and always read the bottle instructions and advice about that as we only get one set of eyes!
Maintaining and taking care of your eyes is very important. One of the problems that I have is that my eyes are very prone to getting sore and red whenever theirs too much dust or smoke (cigarette smoke) around. The nature of the business that I do almost always puts me into environments that undoubtedly affect my eyes. I travel to Africa very regularly and the there always so much dust around. I’m out almost every other night attending dinners or parties and this is where the smoke comes in. One of my most trusted companions is “Optrex Fresh Eyes Eye drops”. As you might we aware, from my previous opinions, I use Contact Lenses and even though it is not recommended to use these drops whilst wearing Contacts, I have been using them since the last five years. I have never had any problems. A couple of drops gives you instant relief. They instantly cool your eyeballs and believe you me the ice-cold feeling is pure ecstasy to sore eyes. They also contain some kind of chemical ingredient that works on the tiny veins that supply your eye with blood. The chemical reduces the inflammation in these veins and thus reduces redness of the eye. They come in a very handy squeezable plastic bottle of 10ml. This easily fits in your pocket and you can carry it around anywhere without any hassle. They go for a little under £3.00 for the 10ml bottle. You can also get the regular Optrex Eye Drops in 18ml bottles for around £3.50. They can be used by anyone and you do not need a prescription for it. Please remember that these are for minor eye irritations. If you feel it something more serious then please visit your optician/doctor. The only other real competitor to this is Visine, which is made in the States. I had used this previously but due to unavailability I switched to Optrex and I don’t regret it one bit. I was actually very surprised at the one opinion I read, in which the user was not happy with the product. So if any of you have or are prone to having minor eye irritations I recommend you to get this because you never know when and where you will need it. The eye baths and other remedies are good but you would need to get back home to use them. This you can carry around anywhere and use them at any time.
