Advantages: Give immediate relief and relieve eyes for longer than some other cheaper brands
Disadvantages: Not suitable for contact lens wearers
Ever since I had my eyes lasered a few years ago I have suffered from dry and itchy eyes which means that I need to always have some eye drops. Over the years I have tried nearly them all as I am not particularly loyal to any one brand and usually just pick some up that are on offer when I am out shopping.
Although I am not loyal to any one brand I do like Optrex branded ones as they are eye care specialists and I would rather use some eye drops made by a company that have lots of experience than use a brand that also makes verruca treatments.
The Optrex refreshing eye drops are designed to be used when eyes are feeling a little sore and tired to instantly refresh them and put some much needed moisture back in them. They are particularly good for when you have spent long periods of time in front of the computer or been in an air conditioned environment for a long period of time.
The drops contain plant extracts which help make them less stinging on sensitive eyes and I do actually find that the refreshing eye drops are some of the kindest to my eyes and they don't sting when I first put them in or leave my eyes looking red and sore afterwards like some can.
You just use these like any other eye drops by squeezing a couple of drops in your eyes when needed. Because they are so gentle you can use them pretty much as often as you want without having to wait until your eyes have become really sore and tired feeling. They immediately take away the gritty feeling in my eyes and after I've blinked a few times my eyes feel and look much clearer and the hazy look that I can get when my eyes are extremely dry clears away.
These eye drops aren't really suitable for contact lens wearers as they aren't supposed to be used when you have contacts in your eyes or for 15 minutes before you put them in. Other than that there is nothing to stop me recommending them as they do exactly what they say they will and the relief from the dryness lasts a lot longer than some other brands of eye drops.
They are also a good price and cost around about £3.99 but are frequently on offer for around about £1 to £1.50 off them.
Summary: A decent eye drop from Optrex that does what it says on the tin.
