“ Manufacturer: Eye / Lens Type: Drops „
I have suffered from dry and often itchy eyes on and off for a while now. I would say I spend more time on my laptop now - especially with great sites such as Dooyoo! I take regular breaks but I think this can only ease the effects of dryness and itching. I have used various brands of eye drops and found that Optrex have a good range of drops for different types of eye complaints. I wanted something different to see if I could get better results.
One of the first things that appealed to me about the Rhoto Zi For Eyes was that the packaging led me to believe that these drops would have a cooling effect on my eyes and hopefully ease the irritation. Costing around £3-£3.50 the drops are usually purchased by myself online. They can be bought via Superdrug and Boots, but I simply order them online for convenience.
Although it isnt really relevant to the product, the packaging is a little excessive. Instead of a simple bottle in a box, Rhoto Zi For Eyes comes on a card backing which is a little bulkier, but the eyecatching design attracts the buyer in, so perhaps it is their way of marketing it.
Rhoto Zi For Eyes is designed to relieve irritation caused by dry eyes. The drops are extremely simple to apply. Obviously if you aren't comfortable with applying eye drops then it won't be as easy for you, but I am getting used to it more now. Once applied, the drops give a cooling sensation to my eyes and soothe redness and soreness caused by dry eyes. The itching also eases due to the cooling sensation and I feel much better immediately after application. The bottle is transparent which is a major plus for me. I find that other eye drop products don't allow you to judge how much you have remianing, so it is difficult to guage when to buy some more. I keep the bottle in the fridge for an even better cooling effect, but if you are new to using eye drops you may wish to apply them at room temperature.
I would definately recommend the Rhoto Zi For Eyes drops for those with dry eyes. The drops have a lasting effect on my eyes and as I am not tempted to rub my eyes as much, they can recover from the redness caused by rubbing. If you are suffering more longer term then I would recommend you seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist, but I don't suffer constantly and I can keep it under control with over the counter medication.
For a while I have been suffering with dry eyes, It usually only happens when I am over tired or have been sitting at my computer desk at work for long periods of time starring at the screen. I went to my local superdrug to fined a cure but have not found one yet but I found a product that helps relieve the horrible dry stinging sensation.
I bought zi for dry eyes, I purchased this 3 years ago and the product has now been improved and now has new packaging. It cost around £3.50 and is available from superdrug, boots, semi chem and supermarkets for around the same price.
It has been made to relieve dry eyes, redness, puffiness and cool and soothe eyes. It comes in a rather small square container which is transparent which allows you to see how much you have left in the bottle. It has a small triangle blue lid that comes of but can be a little fiddly due to the size of the lid and I have dropped it on the floor a few times which is not great as it should be kept sterile as possible after all its a product for your eyes.
I would recommend that you wash and dry your hands thoroughly before using. You take the lid off and tilt your head back and open your eyes. You add a few drops to each problem eye and then I close my eye for a few seconds and then blink a few times. I use a tissue to mop up and dribbles that leek from my eyes.
I instantly feel a very cool relief when I use it, it really does soothe my eyes and feel much better for a short while but the soothing effect only gives me relief for about one our at a time. It does lubricate my eyes and stops the painful rubbing feeling in my eyes. It works well but it is only a temporary relief and I have now been to my doctors and prescribed a more effective eye drop that works much better. I have to say its a good buy for a over the counter product but I will not buy it again. It has a gentle soloution which allows me to use it and others with sensitive eyes.
The small bottle lasted me 4 months which worked out to be better value for money than I thought it would be as its a tiny bottle. I stored it in my bathroom cupboard to keep it out of reach of my small children.
I had seen the rhoto zi for eyes advertised in a magazine a while ago and thought it looked like a product i would like to try however i forgot about it until i then see an advert on tv so i popped it on my shopping list.
I often get tried eyes and they dry out , everyway i move them i feel like they are getting damaged and rubbing against my eye lid, its a horrible feeling. I also spend all day on a pc at work then come home at night and use my own laptop that's my reasons for my painful eyes, i cant blame the computer but i do sometimes suffer headaches too.
Rhoto zi for Eyes i purchased from superdrug for £2.99 , i have seen this for sale in asda too last week in fact right by the tills. I had to buy mine from superdrug because our boots store does not stock it.
Rhoto zi is a lubricant for eyes to help relive redness, puffiness, tiredness, cools, soothes dry eyes. Rohto Zi for Eyes comes in a small plastic square jar with the clear fluid inside, it has a lid on one of the corners. The lid is blue in colour and clips on and off, when the lid is removed there is a dropper shape for easy dispensing the product direct from the jar into the eyes, i found this to be most useful especially at work and places where i'm on the go.
To use the Rohto Zi for Eyes you have to tip your head back, pull open your eye and tip the jar down so the dropper shaped part is facing the eye ball. The drops come out quickly and you should put one - two drops in each eye and blink. I feel instant relief as soon as the drops have went in. The drops are cold and do sooth. I feel i get a new lease of life after using the eye drops or at least an extra few hours when i'm extremely tired and my eyes alert again. After using the drops i have notice my eyes have a nice healthy looking shine to them making them even look brighter. No more burning sensation these drops are as cool as ice.
I do like the Rohto Zi for Eyes and highly recommend them.
I love the Rhoto products - but don't buy it off the internet from EYEGAZMS - they don't send the right product and then they don't answer your emails or phone calls. Better to buy it in a store so you know what you are spending your hard earned money on.
I?m not mad, because I am sure most people will have experienced gratey eye even if they were not aware of it at the time. Gratey eye is my personal name for that feeling when you are tired and your eyes are all dry/sore and it feels like ever time you move your eye it is being rubbed against a cheese grater. Ok, perhaps that is a slight exaggeration but do you know the feeling? I used to experience it all the time when I went clubbing and stayed awake for the majority of the weekend, it?s just a shame I never thought to buy eye drops then! Enter Rohto Zi Extreme. I vaguely recall seeing the TV adverts a few years ago and remember them being rather eye catching, but I never investigated further into the product until now. ZI EXTREME After experiencing a rather uncomfortable level of gratey eye last Saturday night I thought I would make it my mission this week to hunt down a gratey eye antidote. Perusing the shelves of Boots I was bombarded with numerous products promising to refresh, reinvigorate etc. etc. but one packet in particular caught my (non gratey at the time) eye. ?ROHTO ZI EXTREME? with the words EXTREME COOLING emblazoned across the top. Yes! That?s exactly what I needed to relieve my tired eyes, because along with the grating sensation I often experience a hot feeling occasionally accompanied by red eyes. PACKAGING If the promises of cool eyes weren?t enough, how about this for cool packaging? The outer cardboard box has its entire surface area covered by an image of many shards of ice. Inside the box is a small plastic sachet (which keeps the container sterile) and inside that, a
n ultra modern clear square with one blue corner acting as a lid. However, when turned the correct way to read the writing on the bottle (if you would call it such a thing) it is a diamond with a funky blue cap. I?m sold. METHOD OF USE £2.13 and a car journey later I was sat in the living room ready to test the eye drops. There was no gratey eye present but it was mid afternoon and refreshed eyes wouldn?t go amiss, so here is how you use them: 1. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly. 2. Hold the bottle upright and twist the lid off (either way). 3. Lean back and open your eye wide. 4. Hold the container right over your eye and squeeze one drop in. 5. Repeat for other eye. 6. Repeat for both eyes if you require two drops. 7. Replace cap by pushing it straight down onto the container. It might be worth mentioning that I don?t mind applying things to my eyes, and although I don?t use them, I have no problem with inserting contact lenses into my eyes. I don?t know whether applying these drops to your eyes may prove difficult to other people who have not applied things to their eyes before, or have a fear of inserting things into their eyes, but I found it very simple. THE RESULTS Today is a warm sunny day and I have been sat in front of the computer for a couple of hours. Before applying the drops my eyes did feel slightly warm. Having applied the drops they now feel cool and refreshed. It is hard to explain the sensation as we don?t generally sense many things in our eyes other than pain and/or fatigue. I would liken the sensation to how your head feels when you use Original Source shampoo, how your mouth feels when you chew minty chewing gum and how your face feels when you s
plash it with very cool water on a warm day. I find it very pleasant and not overpowering in the slightest (as the name ?Extreme? might suggest). The cooling sensation lasts a variable amount of time, depending on how warm your eyes were to start with. If your eyes were just normal then I would say the intense cooling lasts for around 5-7 minutes. If your eyes were quite warm and tired then maybe between 3-5 minutes. However, after this initial cooling the eyes still remain well moisturised and I find that reapplication is quite infrequent. Although I have not tested these drops on full-blown gratey eye I have no doubt it would relieve the symptoms enough for me to endure the rest of the day with slightly less discomfort. FREQUENCY OF USE It says on the packet that these drops are suitable for frequent, everyday use. I wouldn?t estimate that I will need these every day, but having used them I feel no adverse effects later in the day or the following day. CONTACT LENS USERS These drops CANNOT be used whilst wearing lenses, but can be instilled five minutes prior to inserting lenses. ONLY DISADVANTAGE The container has to be discarded one month after opening, which is a shame because I won?t need to use these all the time ? they are just handy to have around when a bout of gratey eye catches you unaware. PRICE AND STOCKISTS I bought my Zi Extreme for £2.13 from Boots. As it is a big brand name in eye drops I am sure you would be able to obtain it from most chemists. The c
ontainer size is 8ml, which is quite reasonable, as discarding it after 30 days you don't want to feel like you are wasting a lot of product. VERDICT So far, I love them! I will almost definitely buy them again during the summer to keep my eyes from feeling uncomfortably hot. The only thing I can complain about is the 30-day shelf life, but this is not exclusive to Zi, it?s just a requirement for reasons of hygiene which you cannot risk when it comes to eye care. For this reason I will give the 5 star rating. carly_pussycat - dooyoo UK ©
I'd seen the adverts for these many times and thought...hmmmm they look good. Better than optrex I'm sure. So never one to miss a new product I skipped to boots. Paid about £3.50 and dropped one drop in each eye.......ohhhh the pain! My eyes stang like crazy! They stang for a good hour and were left red and sore. Not the look I was going for on my big girly night out. Straight in the bin!! Next time I will stick to what I know!
I love these drops. Rohto Zi are refreshing eye drops that moisturize my eyes when they are dry, tired, and uncomfortable. Plus, the give me a wonderful, refreshing cooling sensation. I also used Rohto V drops, which remove redness and give even more of the invigorating cooling sensation. Rohto V and Rohto Zi have been overwhelmingly popular Japanese eye drops for years, but I could never find them in the United States. I was really happy to find out that I can now buy them at www.Eyegazms.com. Eyegazms.com sells the U.S. FDA approved versions of Rohto Zi and Rohto V. I bought a pack of six bottles, but they also sell cases of 36 bottles and individuals. Ned Millhaas
This looked like a trendy new range of eyedrops. The Packaging was trendy and so was the triangle shaped dropper. I had a choice of menthol or normal. I chose the normal - don't think I would put menthol in my eyes!!! I go it home and tried them out asap. I twisted off the small cap on the bottle and I put a drop in each eyes my eyes stung!! and went red and looked like I had an eye disease!!! They were red for a few days. I have never had a problem with eye drops before as I normally go for Optrex. Maybe I was allergic to the ingredients? - but I wouldn't recommend them - sorry! I think I must of wasted about £3!!!! :o( I can sadly say they are now in the bin!!
Cooling refreshment for tired eyes.
