Advantages: Flexibility / High Quality / Durable
Disadvantages: None worthy of highlighting!
I first noticed I had sight problems when I couldn't read the overhead projector during rehearsals for the school play at the age of 10. I was soon told I had inherited my mum's short sightedness and since that age I wore glasses. As a keen footballer this soon became a problem, more so for my mum due to the amount of times I needed to get my glasses mended! A few years later I progressed to daily disposables but soon moved on to the Specsavers Easy Vision All day and night. I have now been using these lenses for the past 10 years and can honestly say I have never once had a problem with them. In my opinion, they are a god send for all those that want constant perfect vision without going through the issues with laser eye surgery, at least that's the way I look at it. The lenses are put in at the start of the month and then I take them out before I go to bed at the end of the month and put a fresh pair in in the morning. I know some people will take them put to give them a rinse a couple of times during the month but this is not something I have had to do more than a handful of times in the past 10 years. I do sometimes have to dab my eyes with tissue in the morning to get rid of sleep which can build up but this is not a problem. You will not be advised to swim in them but I have - again never having a problem or losing a lens. I have not owned a pair of spectacles for about 7 years (this is not recommended as you should always have a pair in case you cannot wear your lenses for whatever reason) and I take this as a sign the lenses are of an excellent quality. I think they are a brilliant option for contact lens wearers, giving you flexibility e.g after a night out where you stop at a friend's and don't have your specs or solutions or spare lenses etc. They are very durable and have always remained securely in my eyes throughout playing sports and the occassional swim. It is not an exageration to say that at age 15 they had a positive impact on my life and continue to do so. If this type of contact lens was no longer available it would cause quite a change to my life!
Summary: High quality lenses that have had a very positive impact on my lifestyle.
