I thought the optician had gone mad when He suggested contact lenses to be worn continuously for a month because I wore the daily ones for too many hours a day! However, not so, the all day - all night lenses are designed to be worn for a month at a time and so let more air through than the standard 'in in the morning and out in the evening' lenses.
The lenses are delivered to your door every 3 months, 6 lenses at a time. The packaging is simple yet perfectly sturdy and functional. Each lens comes in small boxes of three, in individual plastic containers witha film lid which is easily peeled back to allow you to put yor finger ( washed and clean!) in to retrieve the lens from the storage solution. The right lenses are marked with a large R on the box for simplicity.
The aftercare package which is included in the fee for these lenses is good in the sense that you have to have a check every year, ensuring that you don't neglect to have it.
Specsavers also replace 2 lost or damaged lenses a year and are very quick about it, they'll give it to you in the shop if they have one in stock or call you to collect it or post it to you very promtly.
I find these lenses convenient and generally comfortable, athough, as with any lenses, dry and dusty environments can have a derogitory effect, but this is nothing that a quick rinse, or if you prefer, a disinfect, wont cure. As no solutions are included in the package, you would have to buy the solutions and pots seperately for this.
All in all, for £15 a month direct debit, I find the all day-all night lens package convenient and good value.
