Advantages: 24 hour vision!!!

Disadvantages: Not suitable for me boo hoo

This is one fabulous idea for those cursed with no sight without a little or lot of correction! Having worn glasses since I was in my early 20s I decided to give these a go to remember what it's like to wake up and see the time on the alarm clock.

They are comfortable to wear and you do forget that you have them in. Like a child going to bed in them the first time was exciting lol. They cost me around £20 per month but the price will have changed by now. Basically you change them once a month only and rarely need to do any other maintenance. By chucking them away there's no cleaning hurrah!!

But I have a slight warning story.... After about 8 months and having irritated eyes to the point of driving me insane I finally had the intelligence to go back to the optician. I had ulcers on both eyelids and had to take out the lenses straight away and use eyedrops. After a couple of regular check ups I had a clean bill of health but was told to avoid all day all night products in the future. Apparently long term use in people with slightly drier eyes can lead to minor problems. Ulcers sounds dramatic but it wasn't just very itchy.

I still can't wear lenses everyday needing to rely more on glasses but that's no hardship really.

Most opticians seem to do the all day all night lenses now but I'd recommend regular checks and certainly a check after a few months rather than the few weeks they leave you for. It is a wonderful idea and if it works for you go for it, I miss the 24 hour vision!

Summary: Comfortable lenses, little maintenance, good price

I had the same problem, they don't do these lenses anymore at Specsavers because they have been deemed as dangerous. I loved waking up in a morning being able to see... but yes like you I ended up with a corneal ulcer and very almost a) had to have my eye scraped and b) almost lost some of my sight... not good when you're studying to be a photographer...all for anyone else really! I'm surprised that they let you get the 24 hour once without wearing others first for a few weeks/months.

Thank you for the review
