Great product for those that already use contact lense cleaning solutions.

Although I am just an occassional 'dailies' contact lens wearer I use Vista-Prep Optical Hand Scrub by Amcon. The product was designed to leave no residue on your hands for when you apply your contact lenses. Before you put contact lenses in you must ensure your hands are nice and clean to prevent infections, and generally soaps and hand washes are used to clean your hands beforehand. Using Vista-Prep Optical Hand Scrub gives you the confidence to apply contact lenses without the chance of soapy residues contaminating the lense as you apply it.

The Optical Hand Scrub is designed for the American market but I got a good deal online shortly after buying my contact lenses for the first time, and I have used the same large bottle ever since. The large 32fl.oz bottle (approx. 1 litre) is enough to last quite some time, and I havnt used a quarter of the bottle yet with my limited contact lens use. The scrub is fragrance-free and doesnt leave your hands feeling oily and covered in residue. The result is you have hands perfect for the application of your lenses!

Vista-Prep Optical Hand Scrub cleans hands, eliminates fragrances and leaves you with fingertips with the correct pH level to effectively apply contact lenses without the worry of accidental contamination. The Optical Hand Scrub is perfect for removing bacteria from your digits before putting them anywhere near your precious eyes. I don't particularly enjoy appling and reapplying contact lenses over and over due to my sensitive eyes, and there is therefore nothing worse than finding the lense to have grit or oil on it after I have applied it!

For around £10 for the 1 litre bottle it is fantastic value for money. There is a smaller pump-action bottle available on Amazon for just over £4, which is again very reasonable. If you already use a contact lense solution to clean your lenses before application, why stop there?
