I have mentioned on here several times my problems with dry eye and if you have read any of my previous reviews on eye drops you will know that I have tried product after product in an attempt to ease the uncomfortable dry eye I get almost every day.

To give you a summary of my usage I wear contacts for nearly 10 hours per day 5 days a week, only wearing them at weekends if I go out. So I would say at least 55-60 hours a week. This has caused me horrid dry eye and after a days wearing I cannot wait to get home and take them off. But at least with Vital Eyes Contacts I have something to look forward too...

I picked up a 10ml bottle of Vital Eyes Contacts for around £2 from a local chemist. I have never heard of the brand of manufacturer previously and bought it as it was one of the few on the shelf that I had not tried. Much to my relief Vital Eyes Contacts works pretty well.

The instructions with Vital Eyes Contacts are clear. One drop after removal of lenses in each eye is all that is needed. The liquid is nice and thin, does not sting and has no odour. As soon as you drip the Vital Eyes Contacts into the eye it starts to feel soothed and within 10 minutes that bout of dry eye has gone and the eye is back to being nice and moist. The effect does tend to wear off after a few hours though which is the one disappointing aspect but this does not really affect me and my lens uses but it may affect you if you have a different pattern. Either way the main thing here with the Vital Eyes Contacts is that it works in terms of easing the niggling of dryness in the eye and it means after a day of wearing lenses my eyes feel normal.

How much use will you get from Vital Eyes Contacts? Well it has to be used within 12 weeks as the warning on the bottle makes clear but after using it every day it ran out after 8 weeks. Good value still though for the price paid.

How does Vital Eyes Contacts compare to other products? I must say that I feel it is about middle of the road. It is certainly not the worst on the market but nor is it the best mainly due to the fact that it does start to run out!

Either way though, as a solution to Dry Eye it is worth the price and does work to some extent!
