Its six independent, "always-ready" data channels provide Ultra ATA/100 performance while increasing data reliability and protection against drive failure. The onboard i960 RD RISC processor, up to 128MB cache, and bus mastering assure high data and transaction throughputs so your network won't bog down when you need it most. And SuperTrak100 implements the same onboard Promise controller ASIC used in thousands of PCs worldwide. MIS administrators can choose bootable hardware-based RAID 1, 3, 5 to provide all the data redundancy they'll need without sacrificing performance for data critical operations. SuperTrak100, houses a 32-bit Intel i960 RD RISC processor for superior processing of storage I/Os and calculating parity information for RAID 3 or 5 while minimizing the use of the host CPU. Now you can treat even the smallest server like the busiest of "mini-enterprise" environments. SuperTrak100 implements a sophisticated, yet highly intuitive GUI that remotely monitors and controls any SuperTrak100, SuperTrak66, or Promise SuperTrak Pro subsystem array(s) located throughout a network. Administrators have complete control over the array via a password-protected Internet connection or LAN. Perform routine maintenance of the array, receive e-mail event notification anywhere sent to anyone, and customize the onboard cache memory. Should an arrayed drive fail, SuperTrak100 graphically identifies which drive should be replaced. Plus users can customize the priority of background data rebuilds, which permits continued high performance of the network while drive data is being transferred to the replacement drive.
