An affordable book which helps you to eat more healthily on a budget whilst saving time.

I bought this book for myself from a garden centre for £4.99. The book itself really stood out with the heading 'Thrifty recipes and 7-day meal plans to help you save money and time'. Anything that promises to save me money and time is a winner in my book!! I had a quick flick through the book in the shop and saw a few recipes I knew my fussy husband would eat so I bought it.

Over the last few years I have bought SO many books and then de-cluttered so many books, especially recipe books. But this one is one of the 'keepers'. I can honestly say it has saved me time and money.
The book has been broken down into the following chapters:

      - Batch Meals and instant dinners
      - Weekday suppers and leftover ideas
      - Budget family dinners
      - Freezer and storecupboard meals
      - Weekend feasts
      - The Meal Planners
      - Index

This book hasn't just got receipes in, it has information on how to freeze food safely and effectively, keep to a budget, using your store cupboard and how to minimise food waste by using leftovers.

Some of the meals are old favourites in our house anyway, like Chilli Con Carne, Vegetarian Lasagne but also different meals for me such as spiced lamb with chickpeas and one of my new favourites Pan-fried chicken in mushroom sauce.

I have used the batch meals chapter the most and made double quantities of food to save me time for an evening when I've been out all day. I find the recipes easy to use and follow and have turned out how they should, I think this may be because all of the recipes have been triple tested by the best selling BBC Food Magazine.

I would recommend this book to other people, I think it takes the stress out of planning meals and does help to organise you. It can also earn you brownie points when you cook a nice meal with no major disaster or panic occurring!

At the moment, this book is available on Amazon for £8.59

      Thanks for reading.
