Like the other reviewer, I d never actually heard of Julia Childs until I happened to see the film when I couldnt sleep and it was on TV. It was such a marvolous story that I couldnt help but go and find a copy. I opted to get it from the library since predominantly Im a pastry kinda guy, I dont go near meat if I can help it. It s such a wonferful collection of TRUE french classics. There s nothing half-arsed about it. Julia seems devoted to proper french food without shortcuts, I tred the boeuf bourginoun (spelling ? ) from the book just as it was prepared on the film. It took HOURS.... I literally spent the best part of my afternoon in the kitchen... ending up ...
