      One of the difficult things about being on weightwatchers is when you have a family to cook for so I purchased their cook book family meals and have found that this contains recipes which are easy to prepare and which are suitable for all the family which is exactly what you need.

      The Book:
      This cook book contains 60 recipes which are set out under the categories of
      Light meals & starters
      Family Favourites
      Quick meals for one or two
      Simple side dishes
      Puddings & cakes

      Light meals & starters:
      I have been lunching on Feta stuffed Pitta which is incredibly easy and also very satisfying and is only 4.5 points which is excellent for such a filling lunch. I do add cucumber and also mixed leaf salad to mine.
      There are also roasted tomato and red pepper soup with garlic croutes or tuna cakes with spring onion salsa.

      Family Favourites:
      Minted lamb casserole my husband loves this dish and it has become such a favourite that I had forgotten it was a weightwatchers one at all! (3.5 points)

      We also regularly have the turkey stroganoff which again is so delicious you wouldn't believe it was a low fat one containing just 3 points per serving you can also substitute the turkey for quorn for a veggie version or just a mixture of mushrooms both are equally tasty.

      There are also recipes for Italian Chicken Casserole, Tuscan Pork, Indian spiced lamb and oriental cod with noodles to name a few between myself and family we have tried them all and found them delicious.

      Quick meals for one and two:
      Sesame beef stir-fry my husband loves crispy chilli beef from the take away so was sceptical about this but decided, that he could happily eat this and not feel that he was missing out and that it was packed full of flavour and at only 2.5 points per serving a lot healthier.

      Again this chapter is packed full of good recipes such as glazed salmon 5 points, fillet steak tournedos 6 points.

      Simple side dishes:
      I have not made any of the sides in this book but I have decided that I will be trying the hot coleslaw and the roast potatoes at only 1 point they have to be worth a go!

      Puddings and cakes:
      Again I have not tried any of the recipes in this chapter we usually have yogurt or fruit in our house.
      My Sister-in Law has recommended the Baked Lemon Pudding which is 4 points she described as heavenly and as one of weight watchers success stories I am inclined to believe her.

      This chapter also contains Carrot cake muffins (3) and Ginger puddings (3.5)

      I would defiantly recommend this book it is simple to use has well laid out recipes which are easy to make and lovely colour pictures. I personally have found all the recipes I have made easy to follow and delicious.
      The book retails at £5.99 or as part of a set for £24.00 for 4 books I have just looked at Amazon and they currently only have used copies starting at 1p which is a bargain.
