Gas cookers are generally cheaper to run with the flame better for cooking on the hob and electric cookers are cleaner with faster oven heating times. Dual fuel cookers give you the best of both worlds with an instantly responsive gas hob and superior electric oven. Indesit KD3G2WG ... heap of rubbish!! The construction of the "pan supports" allows small pans to tip, and the "rounded finish" of the supports also allows hot oven dishes to slide off. If you need to use two hands to remove a hot joint of meat from an oven dish you cannot hold the dish as well.......so beware! The ridiculous black metal heat deflector which has been "added" obviously because the original white one did not do its job - has no provision for fitting, so can only result in the white enamel eventually wearing away (if you have the cooker for that long!). Indesit K3G2(W)/G ... we first moved into our home this is the only cooker we could afford so we had to settle for this one, it was great for the first couple of months but after a while the little door on the bottom that flips down snapped off we tried to fix it but eventually it snapped compltly and wouldnt be fixed. Also in the photo ot shows a lid on the top ours didnt come with anything on the top of it which again is a bit of a disappointment because i dont like them without lids. The cooker is a realy nice size though and theres four of us in this family and its great for us it comes with a grilling tray aswell so i can still have my cheese on toast.. bonus!.
