This cooker has an electronic start but there is a little problem with that and you have to hold the knob in for quite a long time before the flame takes, if you let it go too soon the flame goes out and you have to start the process again. It's not very time consuming but frustrated me when I was using the cooker because our one at home lights straightaway and I would expect every cooker to do this. It's a problem that you will get used to but the cooker is less than 2 years old so you shouldn't have to get used to something like this because I think Beko should have paid more attention to it when they were designing the cooker.
The inside of the oven is very small and if you cook a large joint of meat you might have to remove one shelf completely because if you don't the meat can end up touching the top of the oven. The very last thing I cooked in here was a turkey dinner to thank my parents for letting me stay and it was a very frustrating time because even though I was only using a turkey crown it was a tall piece of meat so I had to remove a shelf and then I didn't have room to cook the rest of the dinner at the same time, I was able to arrange the roast potatoes around the turkey crown but then had to keep it all warm while I cooked everything else. This was ok for me because it was a one off but I wouldn't like to have to go to this trouble too often.
I cleaned this cooker every time I used it like I do my own cooker at home and that was quite easy to do but not without a few problems that make it much more time consuming than it should be. My mum has told me that when she has cleaned the inside of the oven and grease and dirt is cleaned up easily but the bottom of the oven gets very greasy so that's a dirty job. When I arrived at their house the oven had been recently cleaned and when I cooked our turkey dinner I was surprised how much splatter there was on the bottom of the oven and how much wiping I had to do to clean it all up.
I personally only have one disadvantage about the Beko BA52NEW cooker and that is the way it has to be cleaned so quickly after I have made a mess to prevent food sticking to the surface and making an even harder job of it.
