Beko DVG695: WASTE OF MONEY (180 words)
by looby - written on 21/05/12

An absolute waste of money! I thought it was just that I was not used to a gas oven, but other people have tried (often unsuccessfully) to cook a meal and have ALL complained about the whole cooker. The top oven decides when it will turn itself off, the bottom oven only cooks in the top right hand corner, the hob is dangerous as the pans fall over. Within about a week, I had to call the engineer out because the grill woundn't stay alight - he never had the part so I had to wait for him to get it! 15 days old and the engineer has called twice already to a top oven that just refuses to stay alight. cooking a meal for 6, as i was the last time it happened, can be quite tricky with a useless oven like this as im sure you can appreciate. the engineer has asked me to perservere with the problem while he gets a part that hes not even sure is going to work!! ( he doesnt want me to ring beko incase he gets it in the neck for not resolving the issue TWICE). The whole thing is nothing more than a joke and a complete waste of money. BIG MISTAKE on my part for letting the cost control my desicion!! the grill handle is completely unsafe and you are lucky if you manage to ...  Read the complete review

A very poor appliance from a couldn't give a damn company. (191 words)

Extremely poor appliance, and Beko service is worse, best advice is to avoid like the plague. Oven thermostat is useless, everything is cremated as there is no adjustment, engineer came out ,leant in oven with large pair of grips and squashed the thermostat bulb to " correct the error". After 15+ phone calls, being sent around the UK to companies that had no engineers/could not get parts/would phone back I got absolutely nowhere. The finish of the product is bad,the grill is a joke, bread only gets a suntan on 1/2 the slice, the hotplate pan supports are dangerous, the spacing means pans can and do fall over, the gas jets are at ...  Read the complete review
