Bought this cooker 5 years ago and thought I was buying the best. We have had numerous problems starting with the control knobs peeling to such an extent we couldn't tell whether it was on high or medium. Rangemaster replaced the knobs but the same thing happened 12 months later.
This has now happened for a third time and rangemaster refuse to replace them. We know its out of warranty but the same design fault has cropped up time and time again.
Next the burner logos on the control panel are disappearing even though we clean it as advised by rangemaster. The oven door handle is pitting even though once again we are cleaning it as advised by rangemaster.
The main oven has large temperature differences and you must keep an eye on the food being cooked.
I would never buy rangemaster again as the cooker is of substandard build and the customer service is terrible.
We have had this oven for a few years now and I have recommended it to all my friends. The ones who got it also think as highly of it. We have the stainless steel professional one as in the picture (in a oak coloured kitchen) but you can get different finishes, my brother and friend have the black one which looks stunning in their white kitchens. We chose the tall oven to be electric, and the big oven to be gas along with a gas hob and grill. The hob has four burners and a wok burner on the right. We also have the hotplate which sits on top of either of the other two sets of burners. It has never failed to light, the dials are quite sensitive so you can get the heat you need and turn down really low. All the 'bits' come off the hob so you can clean it well. We use wd40 on it to make it shine and this also stops food sticking to it. The tall electric fan oven has been fantastic - you can cook about 6 pizzas in it at once (useful with three kids and their friends). It has cooked evenly and consistently. We are delighted to have a separate gas grill whose heat you can adjust by the dial. The bigger gas oven is great for roasts - one of the trays attaches to the door if you want and when you open the door the roast is there without bending into the oven. Not had a minutes problem with any of it and looks great. If I had to try to think of anything I'd change it would only be that the grill pan has quite wide spacings and sometimes the chipolatas fall through! Oh and don't clean the 'words and numbers' with Cillit Bang as they come off a bit - my fault!.
