“ Brand: Prestige / Product Type: Frying Pan „
Ok I may be weird but I have two different frying pans, I have a normal sized one that's not too deep for frying my eggs, then I have this one which is deeper, that I cook my gravy in. I like to do a nice onion gravy in this frying pan and so far it has worked pretty well.
I have never added any oil to the pan as I prefer to cook my onions in a little bit of water instead, and so far they have never stuck to the pan or anything, then I fill it up with water and add all my gravy granules etc into the pan.
They say the pan is non-stick and I do know that the bottom of the frying pan is, I have left my gravy simmering in the pan and it has never stuck to the bottom. The pan has a metal handle but as long as you place the pan correctly on the ring of your cooker then the handle does not get hot. I am always careful though and give it a little test first before I just grab the handle because if it does get hot, it gets really hot.
Ease of cleaning
The bottom of the pan is always really easy to clean it just glides off as soon as I put it in my washing up bowl and wipe with a cloth. The hardest part I find is the sides, where the gravy always seems to stick to it. I can not knock any stars off for that though as I do not really think its made to do gravy in so if you was just frying an egg it would be very easy to clean.
My overall opinion
I paid just £6.99 for this and I find it very useful, it's just the right size to fit my gravy into, I do think its made more for frying eggs etc but like I said I prefer a deeper pan to do my gravy in rather than just a jug, I do only use this if I am doing my onion gravy in so it is not used every time. The pan does clean quite well apart from as I said the gravy stuck to the sides but apart from that I can not fault this frying pan. I would recommend this to buy.
