Advantages: Good battery life, easy to use

Disadvantages: not that fast or strong as professional one

Now before I bought this I was absolutely useless with DIY. This drill came as part of a challenge tool kit from argos that cost around £50 for every tool I could possibly need including a full drill bit set that goes with the drill.

Its really easy to fit the drill bits, all you have to do is loosen the front by unscrewing it and then pop it in and screw it up tight. To power it you just choose the direction and then squeeze the trigger gently. The drill is black and orange which also matches the rest of the tool kit and is the standard colours for the Challenge brand.

This drill is really light weight, and so easy to use. It can screw things in and also get them out so I have used it for putting together flat pack furniture that I couldnt get together with a screwdriver, and also for taking some screws out of the wall at my new house left by previous tenants.

The best part about this drill is that the bottom part is a detachable battery pack that releases with a large orange button, which then plugs into another cable that goes straight into the mains. It takes around 5 hours to completely fill the battery and then it lasts for about 8 hours of drilling.

Its not as powerful as it could be and would not be suitable for anyone who needs to use a drill in a professional trade, but if you are just using it at home for general DIY then it is perfect. If you are just starting out with DIY then I would recommend buying the whole tool kit.

Summary: great for DIY
