It wasn't until I met my husband that I started trying out different medicines and the like. Before I met him I was more of a person who would leave a cold to go on its own. Now I look back and think I was a bit mental.
When I am unwell I try and keep it to myself and not make a fuss. I don't like people fussing over me and I don't like to admit when I am feeling under the weather but after having tonsilitus and then coming down with a cold exactly 3 days after recovering I was feeling miserable and very sorry for my newly bunged up self.
After trudging off to the doctor to make sure my tonsilitus had not returned for a Rocky V style finale I traipsed back through Boots and found myself looking at the medicine aisle (coughing and spluttering and generally clearing the area for a good 20ft radius of people) I came across the Covonia Vapour Drops as they didn't have the Vicks Vapour Stick. I decided that the Covonia was worth a try seeing as though I felt like death warmed up with a bunged up nose and I felt like I couldn't breath without breathing through my mouth like I was auditioning for the part of Darth Vadar's wife.
The Covonia Vapour Drops come packaged in a little yellow box (I am assuming the box DooYoo have as a picture is an old one) with the red Covonia logo on the front and a little whisp of smoke which I assume is the vapour contained inside ready to clear my poorly nose.
The vapour drops are only for inhaling so if you purchase these please do not try and drink them. I don't have a clue what happens if you do drink them but I am assuming a visit to A&E will probably arise at some stage. The vapour drops are best for tackling colds, flu and hayever and inside the box the drops come in a little bottle with a dropper. The bottle is 15ml which may not seem very big but it goes a long way. This is not a cure for a cold but just a bit of relief from the horrible and nastiness of a cold.
Covonia Vapour Drops have a minty fresh smell which comes from the menthol and peppermint oil.
To use the drops all you have to do is put a couple of drops on to a piece of tissue or on your pillow if you are using them before bed. You then just sniff and wait for the effects. I found that I had almost instant relief when I sniffed this. My nose started feeling more normal and clearer and as I continued sniffing I could my head loosening up and not feeling as congested. I started to feel normal again. The effects lasted a good hour which was enough for me. I also put a little bit on my pillow before I went to bed at night just so my nose didn't feel so congested as I slept and it gave me a much more peaceful night's sleep.
Covonia Vapour drops can be used on children from the age of 3 months and over. The back of the box does state that you should ask your doctor or midwife if you can use them whilst pregnant or breastfeeding.
I definately recommend Covonia.
