Boots Advantage Card ... is a boots advantage card you say? Well, its a store loyalty card that allows you to pick up 4 points per pound on anything instore (with a couple of exceptions). Or of course, you can shop online and pick your points up in store. Now, as far as Im aware, Boots advantage card is the most generous loyalty card in the UK. All you do, is pick up a leaflet in store, fill it out and wait for your card. You even get a temporary one till you get your permanent one through the post. All.....for free. How it works? Well, anytime you want to buy something in store or online and produce your card at the till, you auomatically get 4 points for every pound that you spend. One ... Vanquis Credit Card ... - taking advantage of the poorest and most vulnerable in our society under the guise of helping out. Hmmm - not the snappiest slogan ever written, but accurate. These cards are pitched as an ideal way to restore your credit rating - when the truth is that they just make it easier for you to get in debt and stay in debt. Unlike normal credit cards, they do not standardly offer the 6 weeks worth of interest free credit and instead on many accounts, interest starts accruing from the moment that you make your purchase. Tesco Clubcard ... those of you who have been living under a rock for the last 20 odd years, as you would need to have been for all the marketing to have by passed you, Tesco is the largest Supermarket Chain in the United Kingdom receiving 1 out of every 6 pounds spent in the UK annually. Accordingly you would think they can reward their customers pretty well and strangely enough they almost seem to try. Tesco have a reward scheme which they have inventively named the "Tesco Club Card Points" scheme, and in very basic terms it gives the customer a penny in vouchers for every whole pound they spend per visit.
