Amex BLUE (American Express)
Member Name: MarkNCL
Advantages: Still some WOW factor Disadvantages: High APRs
American Express largely known exclusively for its charge cards has branched out into the credit card market with the launch of its BLUE card. AMEX is definately aimed at the higher end of the credit card market (its credit checks and scoring system are very rigorous). It is both stylish and aims to offer a high level of customer service. For new customers it has waivered its £12 standard fee and offers 1% cash back on all purchases (£10 in every £1000). Payment is 3% of total outstanding balance (which can be paid by Direct Debit thereby avoiding any late payment fees). The standard and introductory APR rate are not the lowest on the market - so this card is not a good option for people with a substantial balance to transfer or who do not pay off there spending in full. Statements are monthly (often from the USA). Account details can also be viewed online. Summary: |
