I started my slippery slope with people (and I use that term loosely), with a green charge card. Well this was as much use a chocolate tea pot. Get this you go shopping and spend what ever you like (no limit), then when you realise you shave spent lots you get the bill sent to you and OH , pay it in full please.Ok I new the terms of the agreement but what a waste of time .Then because I as a valued customer I was sent an Amex gold credit card. Ok this was good but blooming epensive annual fee.
Well time passed and I went through a divorce.You can imagine that money was tight ,so I asked fo help.Oh Oh no, I asked for help ,this is a cardinal sin for these guys. I first had very nastey letters then yes the ballifs were involved .Fortunately I worked a deal out with the ballifs.My advice is keep away from Amex and any credit company.They will give you what you want but if you need a favour back FORGET IT.
