A great marketing campaign with a snappy piece of 'Gary Newman' soon got the young folk up off the sofa and applying for the new Amex blue - but that's where the fun stopped for me... This is not a card that has anything going for it -- It seems that they can't change their services to suit the UK market and trying to use the US styled online site is a nightmare. The cashback bonus is available on other, better cards and to add to that, I was charged an annual fee just recently! Why does that still happen? The bills that are sent are difficult to understand and are badly laid out and when I have needed to call them the customer service is poor to say the least (I mean, when was the last time you called a contact centre that wasn't freephone - not this one!) Card companies are falling over themselves to offer great rates for new users, my advise is try any of them before you try this one -- then don't try this one anyway.
