I have had a store card for a few years now. When I moved out of home I managed to furnish most of my house using my card, because I couldn't afford to buy all the furniture all outright I put it on my card and just had to pay after 10months. That's one of the good things about Argos cards you can do buy now pay later, there are different term times you need to pay it back in i.e. 10months, 6months etc. There is a negative side to the card though as in the end you end up sticking loads of things on your card that you can't actually afford i.e. with us we brought a plasma TV. Now the buy now has finished this month we need to pay Argos 190 pound in interest ... Read the complete review

The Argos Card...... The Argos Card is a store card where you can purchase items from that store on a buy now pay later type scheme. The scheme ranges from your small purchases where you can have over a months grace to pay off the item or the larger amounts where you can have 3 months, 6 months, 9 months or even a 12-month interest free period on the purchase price. I've had a card for a few years now, only ever use it for the 6 months interest free. Only ever use the card once or twice a year and I've never had a problem with them, but I've always cleared my balance when due. Would I use the card if I knew I couldn't clear the balance, NEVER. Nearly 30% apr robbery!!!!

Please beware of this card, Argos often tempt you to get one of thiese by frequently offering incentives like spend so much and pay 12 months later, which in itself is a good deal but if you end up not repaying the full sum by this time and just make the minimum payments on the card you will find that the interest charged almost equates to the minimum payment. The Interest rate on the Argos card is about 30% so you would be better just using a credit card if you can't afford to buy something out right straight away. Argos do do good deals as I have mentioned in the spend so much and pay in 6 months time, but I would suggest that if you do get one of ... Read the complete review

I've had an argos card since they first bought them out around 8 years ago, as I found having a store card to Argos was very useful, you never know what you might need and if you haven't got the cash for what you need then it could end up being a problem. Having an Argos card give you the ability to purchase more or less anything that you may need to replace in an emergency and is relatively cost effective too. When enrolling for an Argos card, you go through the normal credit procedure to ensure that you are eligible to have a card, depending on your credit history and also to set your credit limit on your card. Initially I was given a ridiculous limit which ... Read the complete review
