Advantages: Buy now pay later, easy to use,.

Disadvantages: The interest rates are high.

I have had a store card for a few years now. When I moved out of home I managed to furnish most of my house using my card, because I couldn't afford to buy all the furniture all outright I put it on my card and just had to pay after 10months. That's one of the good things about Argos cards you can do buy now pay later, there are different term times you need to pay it back in i.e. 10months, 6months etc.

There is a negative side to the card though as in the end you end up sticking loads of things on your card that you can't actually afford i.e. with us we brought a plasma TV. Now the buy now has finished this month we need to pay Argos 190 pound in interest alone as we haven't made any other payments through the 10months we had to pay it. That's one thing I would say the interest on this card is high.

The Argos card is so easy to use all you do is when you're buying something you take your card to the counter with you when you pay then they swipe it or key in your card number then they tell you the different buy now options they have. Then every month they send you a statement with what you owe and the minimum payment you need to make. Also now you have the option of shopping with your card in home base as they have teamed up with Argos so your card can be used in either store.

Summary: I think argos cards are great if you keep up with your payments..
