Disadvantages: arrogant, uninterested, abysmal instore service

After recently being almost pressganged into applying for an Argos store card on a recent visit to one of their stores,I decided to apply for one.However despite being in well paid employment,not having any major credit outgoings such as a mortgage etc and recently being granted credit elsewhere my application was "deferred" in front of a large queue of people which made me feel like a crook as they were all looking.

The staff were very uninterested in their work in the first place and seemed to be robotically trying to get people to sign up for a card.after this however they were even more disinterested and off hand and I walked out.

I had planned to spend about £800 on several electrical items for a new place and I had the cash in my pocket which incidentally remained there.I did not intend to apply for a credit card when I went in and did not really want one.My trouble is I am too polite.

As a result of their arrogance and condescending attitude they not only lost a substantial sale but alienated a customer of many years.Their service in general has deteriorated dramatically of late and they have hardly ever got sufficient stock.

corporate arrogance has been the downfall of many organisations over recent years,"YOU"
are not exemt Argos,I watch and wait,what goes around comes around.
