I have had a store card for a few years now. When I moved out of home I managed to furnish most of my house using my card, because I couldn't afford to buy all the furniture all outright I put it on my card and just had to pay after 10months. That's one of the good things about Argos cards you can do buy now pay later, there are different term ... Read the complete review

The Argos Card...... The Argos Card is a store card where you can purchase items from that store on a buy now pay later type scheme. The scheme ranges from your small purchases where you can have over a months grace to pay off the item or the larger amounts where you can have 3 months, 6 months, 9 months or even a 12-month ... I've had a card for a few years now, only ever use it for the 6 months interest free. Only ever use the card once or twice a year and I've never had a problem with them, but I've always cleared my balance when due. Would I use the card if I knew I couldn't clear the balance, NEVER. Nearly 30% apr robbery!!!!

Please beware of this card, Argos often tempt you to get one of thiese by frequently offering incentives like spend so much and pay 12 months later, which in itself is a good deal but if you end up not repaying the full sum by this time and just make the minimum payments on the card you will find that the interest charged almost equates to the ... I've had an argos card since they first bought them out around 8 years ago, as I found having a store card to Argos was very useful, you never know what you might need and if you haven't got the cash for what you need then it could end up being a problem. Having an Argos card give you the ability to purchase more or less anything that you may need ... Read the complete review

I have had the Argos Store Card for almost a year now. The good thing about Argos is they have almost everything you can need in their store. This card offers you 3 or 6 months payment holiday (depending the value of your purchase). However there is a 24.99% APR, so it will be better to put it on a credit card instead, as interest is still charged ... Read the complete review

A couple of months ago I was in Argos and they said If I signed up for their card I'd get 10% of what I was buying. I normally can't bothered with these things but as I was buying a TV and I'd save a tenner (It was a bargain of a purchase) it was worth filling in the form, much to the rest of the ques frustration. Anyway I filled it in, got my ... Read the complete review

I first took out an Argos card a few years back as a bit of an emergency measure really. My mobile phone had broken and, yes it was that time of the month, a week before payday. Being the impatient person I am I wanted a new one, and I wanted it now! So after having a look through what at the time was quite a thin Argos catalogue, not like ... Read the complete review

I’ve had an Argos card for ages now. The interest rate is high, but the 6 months interest free periods are handy with large purchases. Always keep an eye on what interest you’re paying though. It does do premier points, but then credit cards have cash back and also 0% interest deals. The reason I’m writing this review though is I too am ... Read the complete review

I have read a few other reviews on this card, some pointing out the dangers of store-card borrowing. I totally agree that it's not always the best way to borrow. With a higher interest rate than many credit cards, this can be an expensive way to borrow. However, the interest rates involved are clearly marked on the the credit agreement you ... After recently being almost pressganged into applying for an Argos store card on a recent visit to one of their stores,I decided to apply for one. However despite being in well paid employment, not having any major credit outgoings such as a mortgage etc and recently being granted credit elsewhere my application was "deferred" in front of ... I started an argos account nearly 3 years ago taking advantage of their 6month interest free plan, which I intended to pay off in good time, of course it doesn't always work out that way and argos considering their APR is 26% are a bit criminal in deffering those first 6 months of interest so at your 7th month statement are presented with a ... Argos rather like to paint themselves as a user friendly, customer focussed company. If that were true I would still buy things from them. I learnt the hard way just how much they care about their customers. At the beginning of April 2002 I had the misfortune to fall down the stairs at my local station and bust up my ankle rather badly. ... Read the complete review

Most large shopping chains have, over the years, introduced their own Store Card. Argos is no different. What is the new Argos card? Basically, the new Argos card is like a credit card. It allows you to purchase goods at Argos stores, on their web site or goods from the new Argos Additions catalogue, then spread the cost, over a period that suits your individual needs. How do I apply? It's so easy to get your hands on a ... Read the complete review
