Newest Review: ... we?d send you a new one?. Upon calling customer service we learned that Bank One had acquired FirstUSA and reactivated our account. Their rude ?account specialist? would not allow me to cancel the card instead demanding my wife (who had filled out the original application with FirstUSA) cancel the card herself. As I called my wife to the phone they hung up! So she called them back and was subjected to a high-pressure sales pitch for their Visa card before they?d allow her to cancel the account. Good grief! My wife and I had a FirstUSA Visa for a short time over a year ago (fyi we canceled that Visa because they put a sizeable finance charge on our FIRST statement and it took several phone calls to get them to admit their error). So today an envelope arrives from Bank One containing a Visa card which we had not applied for. In the envelope among the cardholder agreement and other usual nonsense was a statement to the effect ?we?ve noticed you haven?t used your card in a long time so we thought we?d send you a new one?.
