My old Barclaycard was 27.9 APR for the last 5 years. After stating to Barclays that I considered the APR to high I have just negotiated (see last paragraph) an 11.7 lifetime APR card with a 250 pounds credit raise to 750 pounds credit. Here is how I managed it.

)12 consecutive on time payments.

)Card payment in full for the last two months.

)Advice from the Barclays advisors who can advise by phone for free.

FURTHER TO THIS REPORT BARCLAYS FAILED TO HONOUR THEIR FULL VERBAL TELEPHONE AGREEMENT TO ME AND I WOULD RECOMMEND AVOIDING THE ADVISORS AS THEY DON`T APPEAR TO HAVE A CAST IRON SET OF RULES TO READ FROM AND ARE POORLY TRAINED IN PROVIDING THE CORRECT ADVICE. AFTER 8 MONTHS OF CONTINUALLY PLAYING TO THEIR RULES I AM GOING TO SWITCH BANKS AND CARDS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. OUTSTANDINGLY POOR ADVICE BARCLAYS.
