Advantages: They email your balance to you, long time to pay the statement
Disadvantages: Poor way of paying cashback
I was sent a Barclaycard credit card when Barclays took over Goldfish who'd taken over Morgan Stanley, so I was forced to be a Barclaycard customer, rather than choosing them.
This wasn't a problem at first. I put pretty much everything I can on credit card and then pay the balance in full at the end of each month - this lets me keep a track of how much money I'm spending and also rewards me with cashback. The cashback amount was 1%, not a lot, but could add up to a decent amount over the year.
Then Barclaycard changed their terms, rather than storing your cashback up over the year and then withdrawing it they started taking the cashback off your latest statement. I know you're still getting the money back, but I like to let my cashback reach a good amount £50-£100 and then treat myself to something, rather than just have it taken off my bill!
I've now got a new credit card with Thomas Cook that gives you travelpounds that can be redeemed for discounts on holidays and foreign currency.
Away from the cashback, I was quite impressed with Barclaycard - they sent me an email every month stating my balance and also give you a relatively long time to pay your balance. However, in the end it's the cashback that matters to me.
Summary: If they changed the cashback, I'd use it again
