Easy but benefits not that great!! (Barclaycard)

I have had a Barclaycard now for about three years; i transfered to them as they often advertise 0% balance transfers and 0% on purchases which is great to help you manage your finances. The interest rate does just up steeply to 15% after the offer which they dont tell you about and which is very high compared to competitors, however, if you clear the balance every month it is fine! I would reccommend it on the basis that it is a trusted brand, however I think because it is so well known there is a risk that you dont end up getting as good benefits as others- for example, bill texting, low rates, cashback. A huge plus for me is that the statements are clear and simple to read and understand, and if you have query, their customer service call center is excellent - they are hot on security and will call if they think a transaction is dodgy and also are very efficient... none of the dread you have of calling BT/NTL or similar!!

Summary: Shop around
