Advantages: Low Balance Transfer Fee

Disadvantages: None

There are many different types of Barclaycard to suit different customer needs. The barclaycard I have is the Barclaycard Onepulse Credit Card. My sole reason for choosing this card was the length of the 0% balance transfer deal, which at the time of opening my account was 14 months, however now it is just a more standard 12 months. The Balance transfer fee on this credit card is only 2.5% rather than the typical 3%. Transferring a balance of £5000 this lower transfer fee saves £25.

The other main feature of this credit card is that it contains an Oyster Card for use on London Underground. So you can buy Oyster Card Credit on your barclaycard and then use it instead of an oyster card when going through the barriers in London Underground. Personally I have never used this as my main reason for having this card is the 0% balance transfer and if I used it as an oyster card these purchases would be ranked under the balance transfer and would be subject to interest until the balance transfer is repaid. They are presently offering 5% cashback on Oyster Card purchases until october 2010 thus it could be well worth a Londoner taking one of these as it may be possible to get their yearly transport 5% cheaper but check the full T&C's.

Aesthetically this card is quite pleasant with a nice blue and white design. Overall it is a competitive balance transfer credit card due to the lower transfer fee of 2.5%.

Summary: One of the better balance transfer Credit Cards

clever trick combining the Oyster with a 0% - the CC companies always win! Sneaky!

I think the life on the balance interest is a different barclay card where you get a low rate like 6.9% per annum for the life of the lanace transfer. However, it would be cheaper to just change card every 12 months and get 3% per annum by taking out a different balance transfer deal every 12 months.
