Until recently Bhs have only had a store card, but for about the last half a year they have introduced a new card which is called the BHS Master card. The mastercard is ran through barclaycard, its actually quite good. GE were not very good, remember all the data protection problems they were having. Also, goldcards and choice cards will stop being legal tenders on the 31st December 2008, so cannot be used after that date. You can swap them though.. the new mastercard only has 18.9%APR, the goldcard is a huge 29%!!!

The BHS Goldcard is no longer being issued to customers. They are being offered a Thank You card for now. This card gives you 5% off everytime you buy anything until 31 July 2008. After that date they will be offering Mastercard with BHS logo on it. Make your own minds up about that one. BHS no longer deal with GE money although the goldcards are still acceptable.

BHS stores have been around for as long as I can remember, and they have a good range of products if slightly old fashioned in places. My opinion on store cards as a whole is rather negative. I can't see the point in opening a card to get discount, only to lose it in the high interest that accrues.
