I have had my advantage card for over two years now. I don't spend a lot at Boots except for makeup when its needed which is roughly about once a month. The majority of time I use it a lot of Christmas time when buying the great gifts they have on offer.

The irritating thing is that the small stores don't stock many of the items you see in the Christmas gift catologue so you need to go further from home and make a day of it. You do get quite a few offer that have the points on them. The majority of time there are several offers in store like 3 for 2 and offers where certain products can earn you so many more points. These vary and I have seen them a lot on baby products. They say the price and then things like 100 extra points for buying this product etc. This is great if you want the item on offer but not so great if its not.

I managed to save up £25 around Christmas time because a few things my daughter wanted were on offer. This gave me a lot of extra points and later on after Christmas I was able to buy the usual makeup I buy just by using these points.

At the end of the day the card and points are given free;y. You aren't really losing anything by having the card and it just means you have to hand your card over at the checkout when paying. A great scheme which I would highly recommend. If you use Boots often during the year you can save quite a few points up to use on presents at Christmas when we feel the cost the most.

Summary: decent scheme, points build up quickly if shop there often, free card, many offers
