Unlike other loyalty cards, Boots advantage card allows children as young as 11 years old to have one. This clever ploy to guarantee loyal shoppers worked for me! I got one years ago, and although it is only now that I use it more, beeing able to have one in my little purse made me feel quite grown up at the time.

ORGAN DONOR REGISTER:
As far as I am aware no other loyalty card is quite like this one. For starters, when you sign up for one you get a temporary one to use until your plastic one arrives. This means that you can start saving points instantly. A great point to remember is also that when you sign up, you have the option to join the NHS Organ Donor register. Therefor it is like two forms in one, and if you chose to put your name forward for the register, then you have a logo printed onto your advantage card especially.

GENERAL:
For every £1 spent in boots on any of their products, you get 4 points on your advantage card. Each point is worth a penny. Although it doesn't sound very much, it's always usful to have the odd pound on your card on the off chance you really need to buy a drink of water etc and have no cash. You can also get the same amount of points if you buy online.

ADVANTAGE CARD MACHINE:
A good point to recommened is to use the advantage card machine! It is my best kept secret! I don't know anyone that used the machine until I showed them the benefits! For example, I went to Boots to buy a meal deal (a sandwich, drink and snack for £2.99) and checked the machine first... On the 'My Offers' page was a coupon giving me 50 extra points if I bought a meal deal! Extra 50p on the card, so I wasn't complaining! There are so many offers always running that it is always worth checking before you pay.
This Christmas, Boot's are offering over £100 worht of offers via their advantage card machines, offers that you won't find anywhere else in store. So check it out!

It is comforting to know that if you chose to sign up for this, Boots does not share your mailing information with any other company, so you won't recieve any extra junk mail!

HEALTH AND BEAUTY MAGAZINE:
When you get an advantage card, it entitles you to Boots own Health and Beauty magazine, that comes out 6 times a year. It normally costs £1, but if you are an advantage card holder then you get them for free. The magazine has lots of exclusive offers, latest products, health advice from the experts and beauty advice from the trained!

WAYS TO GET MORE:
Here are some of the ways in which you can get more out of your advantage card:
1.Look out for triple point events, these enable you to get 12 points for every pound you spend
2.Visit the advantage card machine
3.Get Boots health and Beauty magazine, it has loads of exclusive coupons inside
4.When you reciev your customer mailings, tear of the coupons and keep them in your purse for the next time your in Boots.
5.If your pregnant or your child is under 2 years old, jooin the parent club. You get 1500 (£15.00) worth of points everytime you spend over £75 on baby products and you also get triple points everytime you buy huggies nappies or wipes.

PARENT CLUB:
This is like an advantage card for mums. When you join you get one or more of the following offers:
1.Triple points for all Huggies buys
2. 1500 extra points everytime you spend over £75 either instore or online
3.Free No7 and Soltan products to pamper yourself with
4.Free Huggies Newborn Starter Kit filled with must-have products for your baby, when you buy any pack of Huggies nappies, worth £24.99.

CHRISTMAS CARD HOLDER EVENTS:
If you are an advantage card holder and you live near a larger Botts store, you may be coming up to their annual cardholder event. This is when Boots stay open late and you can only go if you have an advantage card! The advantages are endless if you attend. You get 1200 points for every £50 you spend (£12 worth of points isn't bad!), free product demonstration, product advice on all those gadgets and game systems, free beauty make-overs, free product sampling, free wine tasting and free chocolate tasting! You also get entery into the free prize dram with the prizes as follows:
