The boots advantage card

It’s a great thing to have if you shop in boots regularly like I do. It’s a simple scheme. You simply have to register to get the card there are 3 ways for you to register.
The first is by going in store and filling in one of there simple application forms and posting it.
The second way is by going in store and apply by using there machines that they have. This machine is also good for looking at your points and what sort of treats you can exchange your points for. That’s if you didn’t want to use it on a particular product in store.
The third way is by applying online.

By being a member you gets lots of benefits for example if your pregnant or have a young child you have the boots parenting club where you get lots of free coupons and gifts and free points on your advantage card when you buy certain products.

You get 4 points for every pound you spend in store. 4 points = 4p so it works out well. The more you save the more you have to spend I tend to wait until I have around £15 to spend then go and get something to pamper myself with.

Before you actually get your proper card you can use a temporary card which comes on the application form, so you don’t lose out on any points.

There little in store machines are really handy aswell. You can use these to change any details like your address and phone numbers.
You can use your card online on there website by typing in your card number you can also view all your points online aswell.

Every time you use your card in store it shows you on the bottom of your receipt how many points you earned at that visit and how many you have in total.

You can also pick up the boots magazine free when you’re a card holder other wise you would have to pay a small fee. I don’t know how much.

The card

It’s the same size and shape as any bank card. It’s white and has your name printed on it. With your personal card number. It has Boots advantage card written on the front. On the back it has a chip which gets read when purchasing products. It has a space for you sign and then some general info written on the back.

So if you shop in boots I would advise you to get a card. It’s free and you get some benefits out of having it.

Summary: Get one straight away if you shop in boots.

I must miss out on around £30 per year by not having one. I buy my lunch there every day in work, £2.99 meal deal which is such good value.
I keep meaning to apply but always forget.

Boots used to send me loads of coupons and double points vouchers but I haven't had any for ages. :-(

This is one of the better loyalty cards around. It's great how quickly the points add up, I spent over £15 today on No7 products, got a free gift bag with LOTS of No7 goodies as well as 2 vouches worth 450 and 250 points to spend on vitamins (no use to me) and No7 (of great use to me) before the end of Jan 2007. It's worth mentioning that they often have promotions instore such as double or triple points weekends which makes the card ever greater value to have! Mil :)
