I absolutely love the Boots advantage card scheme. I have had a card for years and it's really surprising how quickly the points add up, I've currently got £30 on my card, and when there's something I want to buy but feeling a bit short of cash, I just cash in some points - easy!

You get 4 points per £1 that you spend, and this converts to 4p on your card. They are always doing deals where you can earn an extra 100 points or 500 points for example on No 7 make up, or a particular brand across the store. You just need to look out for the offers, or check the website. They do double or triple points weekends too, so the points really stack up then.

There is a little kiosk in stores where you can put your card in and it will tell you how many points you have and what offers are available instore, so I usually have a look at that before doing my shopping, so I don't miss out on anything that I needed to buy and earn extra points at the same time.

The trick is, don't buy things for the sake of it, but if you need them , then why not earn cashback on them at the same time. The money on my card always comes in handy at Christmas time.

You also get sent offers through the post with coupons allowing you to get double or triple points on particluar days.

You can also pick up the Boots instore Health and Beauty magazine for free if you have an advantage card.

I would recommend this to anyone. It doesn't cost anything, and you are getting money for free.
