Advantages: generous points back system
Disadvantages: none
christmas is the time of year when my boots advantage card is my best friend.
not only do boots have some cracking deals on christmas gifts 3 for the price of 2 on most items which is a bargain in itself but use the advantage card on top of that and you can get 4 advantage points for every pound you spend.
pop the card into the kiosk instore for even more special deals, tailored to suit your needs, very easy to use touch screen system allows you to search the special offers that re instore, and the deals that are available exclusively to advantage card holders. if you want to take advantage of an offer then simply touch the screen where it says print voucher and hey presto a deal voucher just for you. there are no limits to how many offers you can use.
another fantastic thing that boots do is offer 'double points' weekends where you can earn a whopping 8 points back for every pound you spend instore.
the kiosk allows you to easily check your points balance, and the points total is displayed on the bottom of your till receipt when you use your advantage card.
when it comes to 'spending' your points, look out for items that have a 'star' shape on the price tickets on the front of the shelves, the star indicated that points can be redeemed against that product. the downside is you have to have enough points to 'pay' for the item in full, you cant use part points and part cash.
the points work out at 1 point = 1 penny when it comes to redeeming them. they do build up surprisingly quickly especially if you are a clever shopper and stock up during the double points weekends, or join the boots healthy living club or parenting club and get even more special offers sent to you.
boots offer by far the most generous loyalty card, which you can use in ALL boots stores, and lets face it there is always a boots nearby.
Summary: easy to collect the points, collect and get free stuff ... simple
