Advantages: Can build up the points in lots of ways and points can be used on anything in store.

Disadvantages: Can become addictive

I love my Boots Advantage card. I think that it has to be one of the best loyalty schemes going. You receive 4 points per pound spent and each point is basically worth a penny (so if you have 100 points then that is a pound).

You can then spend your points on anything in Boots as long as you have enough (a product costing £2.99 would be 299 points).

However, there are lots of ways to boost your points. You get vouchers through the post every so often which give you double points, extra points when you spend so much, extra points when you buy something from a certain product range etc.

You can also get these vouchers from the card machines that they have in store, simply print them off and use them instantly. These machines even give away free products sometimes too so it is always worth checking what offers you have when you pop into Boots.

My tip is to build as many points as you can during the year and then use them at Christmas on the 3 for 2 offers that Boots always run. It will save you loads. You can also get points when you spend on the website too.

Summary: A great way to save for Christmas presents.
